level 1

I believe you can do it on Pokémon go. You can not take the Pokémon you have on shield/sword and transfer it to go. But if you catch an kadabra on go, you can evolve it than transfer to shield/sword

level 1

Nope, you need to trade them to evolve. You could also try and do raid dens to find the higher evolution instead.

level 1

Not that I know of. Just have to find people you trust.

But unless it’s a shiny not many people care about normal Pokémon. I have like 8 kadabras but most of the time 1 persons Pokémon doesn’t have any value that another person can’t get.

Trade normal for normal and shiny for shinies that are not hacked. Always ask if they are original trainer or OT and just make sure the trade looks legit. Unless it’s legendaries.

level 1

Some trade evolutions can be found as a wandering encounter like Alakazam in the Isle of Armor and in Max Raid dens like Rhyperior. However, for the most part you have to trade to actually evolve those Pokémon.

level 1

Usually the pokemon you're looking for are Usually in the wild area or somewhere else as a rare accounter

level 1

No, that’s why it’s called a trade evolve. You can ask people here to touch trade and on the discord too

The Trading Evolution Glitch Discussion

Well yeah, you do have to perform a trade, but you don't have to trade your beloved Level 100 Shiny Porygon for it to evolve! aljames managed to compose a nice guide, so I give complete credit to him. Here it is:

1. If it needs an evolution item, equip the item before you even start. If the Pokemon doesn't use an evolutionary item to evolve, go right ahead to Step Two.
2. Deposit it at the GTS, and ask for an impossible-to-obtain-Pokemon.
3. Go back to the menu where you see DEPOSIT POKEMON, SEEK POKEMON and EXIT.
4. Choose SEEK POKEMON. Seek a Pokemon (such as Wurmple) and perform a trade.
5. After the trade, go back to the menu where you see SUMMARY, SEEK POKEMON and EXIT.
6. Choose SUMMARY and take back your Pokemon. It will evolve now if you did this correctly..

You need a Wi-Fi Connection, and that's about it... I hope that this helps to keep Wi-Fi Scammers at bay, and to keep the Blacklist Thread in the Battling/Trading Section as slim as possible!

Nice find! I'll have to try this sometime.

I doubt ANYONE knew this apart from those who stumbled upon it. Hmmm I might try with Graveler, Haunter, Kadabra, Machoke and anybody else I left to rot in my PC

What if someone takes your pokemon away before you reclaim.

What if someone takes your pokemon away before you reclaim.

Put the pokemon on GTS and request that you get a lvl 100 dialga or something in return, or even smarter a lvl 100 bidoof, because NOBODY has one of those lol!

  • #6

They can't just steal your Pokemon, you have to authorize it right?
Nice trick anyway

Offer the most valuable Pokemon you've seen for it, and ask for one of an unrealistic level. Everyone on the GTS does it.

I just ask for a Level 10 or under Arceus when I exploit the GTS.

how long would have to wait until you can take it back?

I doubt that it matters.

Nice find! I have some friends to trade with already over WiFi, but instead I can just do it myself when they aren't on!

I was going to check to see if there were any threads about this, but instead I saw lots of 'Help Me Evolve my Electabuzz and Rhydon!' Threads, so I guessed that you guys haven't really heard of this yet, or at least most of you, so please don't say: "I ALREADY KNEW OF THIS! U suck u noob!!!111", because a lot of people don't know.

Anyway, today I put my female Rhydon with a Protector already on her up for Trade on the GTS, but nobody would trade after a couple of hours, so I took her off. And, to my surprise, she evolved into Rhyperior. So, I discovered, you don't actually need to trade away your Pokemon to evolve them!

You need a Wi-Fi Connection, and that's about it... I hope that this helps to keep Wi-Fi Scammers at bay, and to keep the Blacklist Thread in the Battling/Trading Section as slim as possible!

Nice Find I'll Sure Use it when I get D/P!

You do get to choose what you want for your Pokemon and the level range you want the Pokemon to be at, so it's not like they're being stolen because you are practically giving permission for any trades to happen. If you don't want your Pokemon traded, then don't put it on the GTS.

  • #16

Can you ask for a specific gender? Can you ask for specific natures? Can you ask for a Shiny version?

  • #17

I trying with my Kadabra but so far no luck. do I have to wait for a couple hour or can it be immediately

  • #18

All you have to do is put it into the GTS, and take it back out. It probably only takes moments, besides that annoying flying-Pokeball scene thing.

I can sort of see how it works, because the Pokemon actually leaves your game, and goes into the GTS, and when you take it out it comes back in. But that's sort of unusual. I don't really know if it's a glitch or not!

But for now I'll call it the Trading Glitch, I guess.

And just ask for a Level 100 Dialga. It's 99.9% guarenteed that nobody will end up trading you.

sweetness. I'll try it out when I get Wi-Fi. Does anyone know how long you have to have the Pokemon in in order for it to evolve? Or do you put it up, exit out of GTS, then pull it out?

EDIT: NVM. ForeverFlame is the coolest! Well, the US doesn't have the Darkrai Glitch but I'll take this glitch instead.

Cool, I'm so going to try this when I get Diamond and Pearl. Ask for a male Drifloon at level 1 and no-one will have one!

How do you evolve trade Pokemon by yourself?

Have Pokémon home and sword or shield on your switch and a cellphone and connect them. Make a second Nintendo account connected to the internet on your switch. Add yourself as a friend and trade. This lets you play through the entire game again and get all the legendary again.

Can you evolve trade Pokemon without trading BDSP?

Other species evolve with high Friendship or if given an Evolution Stone. However, some Pokemon will only evolve when they've been traded to another person. If players intend on filling up their Pokedex in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl, they'll need to trade.

Is there a way to evolve trade evolution Pokemon?

When received in a trade, certain Pokémon can be evolved without Candy. If a Pokémon you've caught is eligible for a trade Evolution, you'll see a trade icon next to the Evolve option on the Pokémon's summary page. Pokémon eligible for trade Evolutions also be evolved with a relatively high number of Candies.
