Jesus and Three Trees

Jesus and Three Important Trees

How well do you know world history? Do you know about the three most important trees? There are three trees in human history that greatly affect your life, even today. If you do not learn the details about these three trees, you will suffer great loss.

The Bible teaches in the first chapter of Genesis that God created all trees, and you do not have to look far to see trees outside your house. Trees are everywhere, and you use a wide variety of products made from the wood of trees that God created.

The Bible teaches in the second chapter of Genesis that God put our first parents in the Garden of Eden with many beautiful trees bearing wonderful fruit. He told them that they could freely eat any the fruit of any of those trees. What a blessed life!

But God warned about one tree and its fruit in the Garden that they were not to eat. They were not to eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If they ate the fruit of this tree, they and all their descendants would die three ways.

Adam and Eve ate the fruit of that tree by Satan’s lie, and they died. They first died spiritually by their spirits being corrupted against God. Adam then died physically 930 years later. And he will die eternally in the lake of fire without a Savior.

This first tree causes death. You will die because Adam ate the fruit of this tree, and you cannot avoid it; God holds you accountable. Babies die for the same reason. All decay and death, animals and plants, is the result of Adam eating this tree’s fruit.

There was a second tree in Eden, and Adam and Eve could freely eat of it, but they instead chose to eat fruit from the forbidden tree, so God put the second tree off limits. It was the tree of life, and eating its fruit would result in eternal life.

Since our parents chose death instead of life by the devil’s deception, God sent terrible angels to guard the tree of life, so our parents could not eat its fruit and live forever. This lost privilege was an unspeakable disaster for mankind and for you.

Forget the Fountain of Youth; you need the Tree of Life! You are going to die, and you cannot avoid it. Not only will you die physically and your body put in the ground, there is eternal torment, called the second death, that you will also have.

But there is a third tree! The most important tree! It is the tree Jesus died on to save His people from the consequences of the first tree. Jesus died on a wooden Roman cross that was made from a tree (Acts 5:30; 10:39; 13:29; Gal 3:13; I Pet 2:24).

What did Jesus’ death accomplish for His people? It opened the way for them to eat from the tree of life! If you believe on Jesus Christ, you will be taken to heaven and shown the tree of life, which you may freely eat for eternal life (Rev 2:7; 22:2,14).

These are the three trees of world history. The tree of the knowledge of good and evil brought death to all. The tree of Jesus Christ’s cross brought life and God’s favor to His people. And the tree of life in heaven will provide eternal life to all of them.

What are the 3 trees in the Bible?

These are the three trees of world history. The tree of the knowledge of good and evil brought death to all. The tree of Jesus Christ's cross brought life and God's favor to His people. And the tree of life in heaven will provide eternal life to all of them.

What is the meaning of the three trees?

On the third day, the tree came to realize that it was strong enough to stand at the top of the hill and be as close to God as was possible. Jesus had been crucified on it. The moral is: When things are not going our way, know that God has a plan for us. God will do almost anything for us.

What were the three trees in the Garden of Eden?

He created the first man, Adam, in the garden of Eden–a place of spectacular beauty. In the garden He also put two specific trees–the Tree of Life and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil (Genesis 2:9). Adam was only commanded not to eat of one of these trees, but he disobeyed that stipulation.

How many different types of trees are mentioned in the Bible?

In your backyard, within parks, hidden in forests, and along roadways, are local trees related to those mentioned in the Bible. More than 36 trees are mentioned throughout the Old and New Testa- ments.
