I don’t regret this at all. Although I have Netflix and can watch the office on there anytime, I thought It would be a great idea to own all of the office on DVD as well. I was debating buying this or buying all of the seasons separately - because I was worried if I would lose some content. I did not lose any content! It comes with so many extras, and not to mention - it looks so cool. If you’re a huge office fan I guarantee you won’t regret this.

The Office was, especially during the Steve Carell years, one of the best sitcoms to ever air. Chances are most people looking to get this already know what the series is like so I will not spend a ton of time reviewing the show itself. In a nutshell, it is a sitcom that follows the day-to-day operations of the Scranton PA office of the Dunder-Mifflin paper company headed by Michael Scott (Carell), the manager of the Scranton branch. It is a Mockumentary in which the various characters are "interviewed" although we never see an interviewer, so they are essentially just talking to a camera. It is a very character-driven show and the plots were a mix of self-contained stories and then arcs, usually dealing with various character relationships. It ran for nine seasons (although season one was very short, just six episodes) and was adapted from a British show of the same name that starred Ricky Gervais and Martin Freeman. The first season mirrors the BBC version sometimes slightly and sometimes a lot, and then after that really becomes its own thing.

This DVD set is just the individual season sets packaged together. So, if you purchased the seasons separately you are not getting anything different aside from a box to hold all the individual season cases. All of the extras (and there are a lot of them) are exactly the same, and nothing (at least in the DVD version) was added. I cannot say what they did with the Blu-Ray complete series set, although from what I have read it has the same extras as the DVD set. The extras include audio commentaries on many of the episodes which rotate various members of the cast. There are many commentary tracks in the early seasons and fewer as the seasons go on. Then there are a ton of deleted scenes (the best of which involve Creed and "Schrute Bucks", blooper reels, webisodes, promo material, and more. Basically, if you love watching bonus content, there are hours worth (apart from the commentary tracks) to keep you busy.

Overall, the series is very good. Like many shows that last nine seasons, it was not as good at the end as it was in the beginning, especially after Steve Carell left. It had a large ensemble cast that included Rainn Wilson, Jenna Fischer, Mindy Kaling, John Krasinski (who, other than Carell, has probably had the biggest post-office career), and Craig Robinson. There are also a ton of very recognizable comedy actors and actresses that appeared in the series in both large and small roles. The show definitely lives up to the hype, and even though the last couple of seasons are not as good as the early seasons, they are not as bad as some people make them out to be. So, if you are a fan of the show, this is a great pickup.

Don't give the streaming services $20 a season and spend ridiculous amounts of money, just buy the dvd set. We bought this to download onto a couple devices and now we don't have to get another subscription or pay out the butt.

this show was funny as all hell and I disagree with the naysayers who hated seasons 8 & 9
while they may not have been up to the standards of the first 7 seasons, there was still plenty to laugh at.

but the packaging?? WORST PACKAGING EVER - (this is for the DD complete series) - some rocket scientist decided not to have enough slots for the discs and they were doubled up with some discs coming of the post and others were on their posts so tight that i thought they'd break when I tried to remove them

Still for what i paid on prime day and excellent purchase (and I am transferring them to paper sleeves)

The DVDs play great. No issues there. But the case is layered and you have to pull two dvds to get to the one underneath. Super annoying. The case needs to be redesigned.

The media could not be loaded.

 I was happy to see that the disc set arrived in saran wrap and was in new condition. There were no scratches on the discs and the case was untouched. All of the contents arrived in good condition. In terms of the dvd content, it was perfect. All of the dvd features were there (subtitles, bonus features, deleted scenes, etc.). There was no problem playing any of the discs. HOWEVER, the dvd case is a different story. The plastic case is EXTREMELY FRAIL and ANNOYING. The case makes it difficult to remove the discs and put them back in. You have to remove the disc above it to get to the next one. On top of that, the plastic is POOR QUALITY. When I try to take a disc out, I have to be EXTREMELY CAREFUL because it feels like it might snap accidentally. Even closing the plastic case is annoying because it is thin plastic. I DO NOT feel safe keeping my discs in there because of how poorly organized the case is and how poor the quality is. Upon purchasing this item, I would recommend buying a separate dvd storage case to keep all the discs in. It is very disappointing about the case because I like to see all the artwork on the case of all the characters from the show. And be careful opening up the case because the set of discs are NOT attached to the case! (Review my video to see what I mean) In the video, I show you the discs (removing and placing), and the menu when you play the disc. Overall, this is a good product with a slightly annoying case. Worth the money! It has every single episode, deleted scenes, and more. I am glad that I bought it.

Mi reseña se basa en tres aspectos que me aseguraron una compra excelente:
Precio: Compré la serie en la rebaja que hubo hace poco con un poco de temor por el precio tan bajo, pero terminó saliendo excelente. Los DVDs son completamente nuevos.

Envío: La serie me llegó sellada y perfectamente protegida. El envío fue tal y como se habia estimado. Excelente logística de Amazon.

La serie: Una de las mejores comedias de la historia, especialmente en las actuaciones y en los guiones. Es simplemente maravillosa, no importa cuántas veces la veas, siempre te saca una carcajada.

Leider ließen sich die DVDs auf einem gewöhnlichen DVD-Player nicht abspielen. Der Hinweis zum Regionalcode gehört definitiv in die Produktbeschreibung! Trotz Rücksendung vor vier Wochen habe ich leider noch keine Erstattung erhalten.

Purtroppo ho acquistato questo cofanetto,serie completa in lingua originale di The Office, serie americana che amo molto. Ma,dato che non avevo fretta di vederla, mi accorgo solo oggi, che è illeggibile con il mio lettore Philips, compare la scritta 'regione errata ' e non si vede nulla! Ho speso molti soldi e li ho buttati via perché inutilizzabile. Non vi era nessuna nota che avvertisse che non era compatibile con i più comuni lettori Italiani! Altrimenti non lo avrei acquistato.
Purtroppo è tardi per il reso.

Por el precio en rebaja las 9 temporadas, fue una muy buena compra, es una gran serie (tal vez mi favorita).
El DVD región 1 lo reproduce el PS3 sin problemas, supongo que las consolas (o las PC's) no tienen problema con que sea regón 1.

El cuarto disco de la segunda temporada no estaba en su lugar parece que se soltó probablemente porque dejaron caer (o aventaron) el empaque, por lo cual el disco presenta rayaduras. Afortunadamente no hubo problemas al reproducir los videos.
Los capítulos y las escenas borradas traen subtítulos en español. Pero algunos extras como "comentarios" no muestran susbtítulos (ni en inglés ni español).

Packaging and Delivery: They should have packaged this set in a box. Normally, I wouldn't care for myself for the dvd case to look perfect, but it is a Christmas present for someone else and the corners of the box got slightly dented. It looks like the dvd set fell out of the package and the delivery guy taped it up half-hazardly. Really absurd. See my pic to see how the package arrived before I opened it; it already arrived open like this. Thankfully, the disks weren't broken inside.

I purchased this for $77 and then the price dropped to $60.
