Meet me Where the sky touches the sea wattpad

It started as an innocent swim, well not innocent she knew she was never aloud to swim that far but curiosity got the better of her.

She swam up, she saw the surface whales heard call out with their big voices, she never knew if the stories of the cove were true, but the legend is that the whales carry horrifying monsters.

Abominations, they have two tails instead of one and they could walk on the land. They had strange things they would throw into the sea and pull out anything they could find.

Aquata isn't one to doubt Aerwyna, but it seemed a bit far fetched, like angels or coral outside of the reef.

But she had to know, for sure.

When she got to the surface, it was dark and there were millions of lights in the sky, there was nothing like this in the cove the glowing algae was nothing to this.

This was beautiful.

She laid back just floating careful to keep her gills underwater. She'd never been so, calm before and she had never really been surrounded by this much silence. There was always noise at the cove, wether war cries against other sea dwellers or singing.

Someone is always singing, singing the warriors off, welcoming them home, and love confessions. songs of joy, sorrow, birth. They sang about everything in the cove.

But up here, it was so, quiet, it had never been so dark.

The cove was a hidden home for all the sea dwellers deep underwater, where sharks hardly go, they've been done their for so long their species evolved to the dark, the glowing algae sticking to their fins and skin, making it glow, of course they could control it, to some part, dim and brighten it with enough practice. Every dweller glows

The beautiful silence didn't last long however. Before long a loud noise pierced the through the sky and Aquata through her body underneath the waves, waded low enough to where she was barley visible but she could still see.

The loud noise, which she could only assume was what screaming sounded like above the sea, was followed by many other loud shrieks, she turned to see their surface whale turning into the water, it must have it the rock a small bit to the left of it.

The legends were true, the whale began to sink and those things were falling into the sea. She saw one with short hair like her own fall into the sea and without thinking she slowly swam toward it.

It was barley awake it slipped under the waves and she followed far enough away that it was to dark to see her, but she watched the creature fight the water. But it didn't get far with its split deformed fins.

The Creatures fighting got weak and it's face turned a dark color before she realized, it wasn't meant for the sea. It couldn't breathe down here.

She swam to meet it but before she could reach it, something else did. Two arms reached into the water and grabbed the creature and pulled it out. Esther swam far to the side before poking her head out and gasping.

The two tailed Creatures were being lifted out of the sea by something she had never heard about before.

Things like the land dwellers but with long fin like things on their backs that helped them swim through the air, but their fins were different, they looked softer and the creatures still had spilt tails.

They were land dwellers out of the sea and carrying them away. They were saving the monsters.

"Laila!" Of the sky-dwellers called

Aquata followed the voice to see one with a land-dwellers in its arms pointing at her.

"Laila you missed one!"  Aquata stayed completely still and one of the sky dwellers floated down to her.

"Y-You're awake," the Creature called Laila said

Aquata pushed her head a little deeper underwater but still had her eyes out, like before.

"Wait, come on you'll drown like that." Laila said reaching for her

She backed up quickly. Letting her face out of water as far as she could while still breathing, she hoped it was dark enough so that thing couldn't tell she wasn't one of those monsters.

"No, don't touch me."  Aquata growled she couldn't help it, she had already prepared to fight for her life, "what the hell are you?"

"I'm an angel" she smiled

"A what?" The smile on the "Angels" face fell

"A-" she sighed "look it's my first time on a rescue, you're the first human I've ever spoken too, I would appreciate it if you didn't make this more difficult than it already is, we have a lot of flying to do to get you back on your feet."

"Feet?"

The humans must be the real names of the sea dwellers.

"Fuck, did you hit your head?" The Angel flapped her wings and pulled her split tail closer to Meriel.

She pointed to the upper part of the tail "Leg,"

Then pointed to the end of the "leg" "Feet"

She lowered her self as if she was laying on her stomach but she was floating in the air beating her,

"What are those" she looked at the soft fins keeping her up

"Wings, now come on, we don't have time," she turned to see the others were already leaving

"No!" She screeched but The Angel didn't listen, she thought she was saving her life.

Laila lifted Aquata from behind by her arms and Aquata flicked her tail in protest and panicked as she realized she couldn't breathe.

Laila saw her tail and dropped her back into the water.

Aquata took a couple deep breath and calmed herself. She considered swimming down. Telling no one she left the cove, nothingand above her better judgment, swam back to the surface.

"-what the fuck, Celeste is going to kill me." The angel was still their even though the rest had left with their "humans" but this one was still here.

"Why don't you go?" Aquata threatened

The angel froze all except for her wings keeping her in the air.

"Because I'm not crazy enough to walk away from what may be the first conversation an angel has ever had, with a mermaid."
