Though windows are a great natural and architectural way to add light into a room, they aren’t the only way. There are many different options for achieving the same brightness and feeling without windows.

Technology has taken us so far. We’ve created a lot of different things to be used in the home. These kitchens without windows are great examples of the march of progress. We no longer need to rely on windows for air and light.

Each kitchen has its own artificial lighting that accents the beauty in the decor. The structure revolves around the communal area, rather than the limitations windows create.

The kitchen in the photo above was designed by JM Architecture, and provides an example of the modern and minimalist design immensely popular today.

The light peeks out from under cabinets. The glossy design takes the minimal light and illuminates the whole room with a soft amber glow.
