How to delete a Gmail account on iPhone 7

If you don't want your Gmail address and emails anymore, you can remove them from your Google Account. Deleting them won't delete your entire Google Account.

What happens when you delete your Gmail service

Your emails and mail settings will be deleted.
You can no longer use your Gmail address to send or receive email. If you change your mind, you may be able to get your Gmail address back.
Your Gmail address can’t be used by anyone else in the future.
Your Google Account won’t be deleted; only your Gmail service will be removed. You’ll still have your activity and purchases you made on Google Play.

Delete Gmail

If you use Gmail through your work, school, or other group, contact your administrator.

Before deleting your Gmail service, download your data.
At the top, tap Data & privacy.
Scroll to "Data from apps and services you use."
Under "Download or delete your data," tap Delete a Google service. You may need to sign in.
Next to "Gmail," tap Delete
.
Enter an existing email address you want to sign in with and tap Send verification email. This email can't be a Gmail address.
To verify your existing email address, you get an email at the existing email address. Until you verify the new email address, your Gmail address won't be deleted.

If you change your mind, you may be able to get your Gmail address back. If it’s been awhile since you removed your Gmail service, you might not be able to get your emails back.

Go to Gmail.

If you want to delete the Google account from an iPhone 7 Plus either to sell your terminal, give it to a relative or friend, recycle it or if you have decided to switch to another Google account, you can do so by following the steps indicated continuation.

1- First step:

To delete the Google account or any other account go to the settings of your Apple iPhone 7 Plus, it is the icon of the gear wheel.

2- Second step:

We go down a bit through the Apple iPhone 7 Plus settings and look for the section called “Passwords and accounts.” Press to access.

3- Third step:

Sign out options.

On your iPhone or iPad, open the Gmail app ..

In the top right, tap your profile picture..

Tap Manage accounts on this device..

Tap Remove from this device..

Why can't I delete an email account from my iPhone?

Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Account Changes needs to be set to Allow so that you can delete mail accounts. If you still have problems try to check to see if you have a configuration profile installed on your device removing the profile may allow removal of the email account.
