I prefer mousse products over lotion any day! You will look like The Hulk had a baby at first, but as long you rinse either in the 1-2 hours like it says (or the next morning, I leave it on over night) then that discoloration goes away! If you haven’t used mousse products, I would watch a quick YouTube tutorial on application to help you out! Will be re-ordering!

This is by far the best color, least smelling, best looking and easiest to use self tanner I have ever had. This is a staple in my routine now. I felt great and looked great all summer long. It’s getting cold now and so I’m only doing the top half of my body. Everyone else is getting pale and I look like I just got back from vacay lol. I am not a huge fan of the mit. I prefer to use the tanologist mit, just absorbs so much less product and easier to use. After exfoliating with the bondi sands exfoliating glove, I moisturize my hands, feet and knees, then I quickly add a thick layer all over(do your hands, feet, elbows and knees last with the leftover product in the mit)-then let it dry. After that I’ll throw on an old baggy tshirt and cuttoff baggy sweat shorts and just go about my business for atleast 3-4 hours ( you can do less but for the best results give it more time)or sometimes I’ll throw on a baggy long sleeve shirt, full sweats and big socks (so I don’t ruin my sheets) and sleep in it. The longer you leave it on the darker it will be. There is a small amount of transfer to clothes and bedding for me personally, so I just make sure I use old clothes, old sheets and blankets so it’s not a big deal if it stains. Even if it looks uneven where you have applied it, as long as you have covered everything, it will look even after you’ve rinsed and given it time to develop. To get super dark, reapply the next day and repeat the process. Two applications of the darkest tan possible and wowwwwww mega tan! I’m extremely fair skinned so it’s literally like magic for me as I would never achieve this color naturally. For me it takes a good 12/24 hours for this color to develop fully. I can apply early in the AM and be golden by that evening but then even darker the next morning. Don’t be sad if you don’t see it after 1 hour, it will develop and if it hasn’t then that means you didn’t leave it on long enough. So I’d recommend applying it atleast a day or two before an event to ensure full color and leave time for touch ups if they are needed. For me the tan lasts a full week or longer if I moisturize. Also good to note, for me when I apply it, I only leave it on my face for half the time as my body, it develops way darker on my face for some reason. Also, I apply extra on my chest as it just doesn’t take as well in that area, this makes it even. Can’t say enough great things, love this stuff! I recommend to anyone wanting a glow, a tan or just want to change their look, it makes a huge difference for me. I get compliments allll the time. Customer for life! Thank you!!

I use a lot of self tanner! I’ve used st tropez, jergens, neutrogena spray, banana boat (which was my favorite for a long time) and I’ll say, this one has the best tinge to it.

There is no orangy tinge at all and it’s a really believable color with great LASTING power. Even putting jeans off and On all week and working out, the color sticks around nicely. Fades nicely too but I think that has much more to do with your first time application! I always shave and dry off all residual tanner very aggressively with a hand towel so I’m pretty much starting from scratch every time.

When you start with a clean canvas your results are excellent with no patching. If you have patchiness it’s bc of Your application, not the tanner. I put lotion only on my knees and then begin applying the tanning foam.

Okay, here’s my one gripe. This foam is more difficult to spread bc it’s an oiler base than say, jergens foam, which spreads like a water. It just instantly evaporates. With this oiled foam you get more staying power and moisture which is fantastic but you’re gonna have to rub and rub and not be able to throw clothes on afterwards.

This is how I use it: after showering and shaving, lotion the knees, I put the tanner all over ( even armpits…bc it looks better in tank tops ) with my blue latex gloves. You don’t need a mit. I throw a loose dress on for four hours or so while it’s doing it’s work and then shower it off before bed. Your skin feels very smooth and looks fantastic but the next day is even more fantastic when you see your amazing, very dark color! It smells a little but get over it. You know this will happen with tanner. I go to the gym the next day and have no shedding or dripping of color with sweat!! I truly love this foam and will continue to use even though it takes longer to apply.

i’ve been using this self tanner for a long while now because the one i used to use wasn’t available for a while and raised in price, but i’ve kept this one around because my favorite is the price, 10 dollars is a good deal for this self tanner, i wear self tanner all the time everyday except scrub off day (usually takes 2 days to scrub off before reapplying) but this tanner does leave you with a slight gray/ green color right after applying so it’s best to apply at night and sleep in it, but the color afterwards is great it’s not too orange has a bit of yellow but i like the color and don’t mind being a little orange because im very self conscious about my pale skin because it’s red and slotchy, i apply this tan on a certain day every week at the moment i apply on sundays so saturday & sunday are the days i scrub it off then reapply so it lasts a week & added these photos to show how pale i am, fading is normal with every self tanner especially as it’s almost time to scrub it off, my hands & face are always the first to go, it works great on my face as well i’ve never broken out because of it , i love it & continue using it till i find a better one

5.0 out of 5 stars New tan who dis

Reviewed in Canada on May 6, 2020

I went from ginger pale white to brown. I am brown. Not orange. I am brown. I was almost embarrassed to come to bed because I came out of the bathroom an entire different colour. And it’s got an olive undertone, so plus for not looking like an oompa loompa. No smell either. Don’t sit on plastic while applying, may have some discolouration where nobody will see anyways. I don’t leave reviews I have to come here to say i can’t believe I didn’t go orange. And I mean I’m pale. Like Irish girl on a beach blending in with the white sand pale.

I waited until my second use to make sure when writing the review. It's defo worth the buy! I'm pasty white being a red head and it makes a huge difference. 1st time of use I mixed it with moisturiser to make it spread easier and left it for a few hours before a shower. 2nd time, straight from the bottle, slept over night and showered with amazing results! Well empressed! Easy to use, scent isn't to bad like other brands and lasts long enough. It dosnt come of patchy and dosnt have that cracked skin look when fading of either. Defo recommend, particularly us red heads!

2.0 out of 5 stars Application is easy enough

Reviewed in the United Kingdom on April 28, 2022

Applys well, woke up after sleeping in it and didn't feel as disgusting as i usually do and I think the undertones are very olive. I am naturally the palest colour available and I had a mild tan. I have definitely used tans that actually tan you but personally this didn't deliver. It's definitely not the darkest tan it's a light to medium cover which I am so disappointed about as I had Hugh expectations and finally decided to try another company being this one ☹

1.0 out of 5 stars Does not work - no colour change at all. Don’t waste your money!

Reviewed in the United Kingdom on May 1, 2022

I thought there might have been an issue with the bottle I received when I started to apply the lotion and there was no guide colour at all. I thought this might have just been correct so continued to apply however there was no colour change at all - the product did not work. I have used a lot of different tanning products over the years and tan twice a week so this wasn’t a lack of experience. Really poor product and will stick to my usual brand from now on!

1.0 out of 5 stars The worst tanner I have ever used

Reviewed in the United Kingdom on June 30, 2022

This is terrible and it doesn’t do anything that claims to do on the package. It does smell of coconut at the beginning but after about 30 minutes the scent changes into regular tanning smell just like every other product. It is VERY sticky. It never dries up so basically you just wear your clothes after application and walk around like a fly with a sticky tape all over you. That is not over! This tan doesn’t tan at all! I did everything like it says on the instruction. I kept it for nearly 2 hours and I’m very pale. After 2 hours I went to take shower and I looked exactly the same as I looked before applying it. I don’t understand other reviews on here raving about it. It obviously must be fake reviews. I don’t believe anyone can be happy with this. Don’t waste your money and don’t buy this. I’ll be returning mine for sure.

How long should tan take to dry?

How long does fake tan take to dry? False tan formulas can feel tacky on the skin for hours afterwards, however, they should be largely absorbed after as little as twenty minutes. Just make sure to avoid restrictive clothes, underwire bras or anything that rubs onto the skin and don't get the skin wet.

How can I get my tan to dry faster?

Speed up the drying process Waiting for your fake tan to dry can be a drag, so speed up the process using your hairdryer on a cool setting. Just lightly blast across the areas you have tanned.

How long do fake tans take to dry?

Generally, normal self-tanners take around 4-8 hours to develop, but dry after a minute or two. This means you can wear clothing on top a few minutes after you have applied the tan, but it develops over the course of the day, so you'll have to wash it off a few hours later.
