    Do

    • Do read entire label and enclosed directions and follow before each use.

    • Don’t put dog products on cats and vice versa. It is important you use products for the correct species.
    • Don’t double dose your pet. Always apply flea and tick treatments as directed on the label.
    • Don’t divide tubes between multiple animals. Always use the full tube on the pet per the product’s application guidelines.

  • Should I be worried about ticks?

    Ticks are prevalent across the U.S. and are also carriers for diseases, like Lyme disease. It’s important to take action against them. You can easily prevent ticks from using your pet as a host with simple solutions like our flea and tick treatments for cats and dogs. 

  • If my pet stays indoors, can she get fleas?

    There are many ways your indoor pet can get fleas: untreated pet visitors, pets who are allowed to go outside, and pet parents themselves are three common culprits. 

  • Does the flea have to bite my pet for the medicine to work?

    No. With the exception of the oral treatment, PetArmor kills fleas and ticks when they come in contact with your pet’s coat. 

  • Do I need to treat my pet for fleas and ticks year-round?

    Yes. Prevention is the best way to ensure your pet’s health. Fleas may survive in your home throughout the winter and can withstand temperatures as low as 33 degrees for up to 5 days. Save your pet and home from a potentially costly infestation with regular treatment. 

  • Could there be flea eggs in my home?

    Yes. Flea eggs can fall wherever the infested pet may spend time, and they can lay dormant for months. However, you can treat your home as well as your pet. Our flea and tick for home products kill a number of pests.

  • Will PetArmor® kill flea larvae, too?

    PetArmor® Plus for cats and for dogs kills flea larvae as well as fleas, flea eggs, ticks, and chewing lice for up to 30 days. It effectively breaks the flea life cycle.

  • If I treat one pet, do I need to treat all my pets?

    Absolutely. All of your pets must be treated to control fleas, and you may want to treat your home, too. An untreated pet can become the new host for fleas if immature fleas are present in your home. Also, an untreated pet could also be the real source of the infestation.   • How do I treat my pet for fleas?

    There are a number of ways to treat and prevent fleas. The simplest may be a monthly regimen of PetArmor Plus for cats or dogs. Be sure to read the labels carefully.

  • How can I tell if my pet has joint pain?

    If your dog is having trouble with her daily activities such as running, playing, getting on the couch or up stairs, these may be signs she’s experiencing joint pain.

  • Are joint issues normal?

    Larger dogs and certain breeds are more prone than others to joint pain injuries.

  • Are joint issues preventable?

  • Why do fleas keep coming back?

  • Do I need to do anything besides use a flea and tick control product to protect my pet?

    Yes. You may need to pay special attention to your pet’s home environment with PetArmor for home products. Also, make sure their bedding is washed, and vacuuming is done frequently. The yard may need attention, too, such as raking, trimming shrubs, and cutting grass. The fewer places for bugs to hide, the better. 

  • I still see fleas after application; is the product working?

    Yes. After treatment, fleas and ticks get very active as they die, and move to the top of the pet’s coat, where they are more visible. This is actually a sign that the product is working. However, if you’re seeing fleas several days or weeks after applying PetArmor Plus, you may have an infestation in your yard or elsewhere. Remember to treat all pets in your house with PetArmor Plus every 30 days throughout the year to help protect your pets from fleas and ticks.

  • Can I stop using flea control once the fleas are gone?

    No. regular treatment is recommended to prevent future infestations, keeping your pet healthy and happy.

  • How can I tell if my dog has worms?

    Some signs and symptoms include visible worms in stool, a bloated stomach, increased appetite, and weight loss. Consult your veterinarian for assistance of diagnosis, treatment and control of parasitism.
