Part of the lakefront scenery since 1996 is this immense riverboat-style casino, managed by Caesars Entertainment and employing 2,200 people. The current design of this vessel dates back to 2008, with 350,000 square feet of gaming space anchored by a huge main gaming floor. This has more than 300 video poker machines, 700 new slot games, sportsbook betting and a wealth of table games.

I loved it there yesterday,it was fun. The machines are my money 💰 thou,😁😁😁😝. I had a glass of margarita and left. But I would recommend a smoke free partition cus everyone don't smoke but want to partake in other casino activities.

I give you one star. Your gift giving is cheap. You don't have enough winners. The food in the steak room isn't good nor the decor. It use to be a fun place but it's not anymore. Time for a change.

Horseshoe is my favorite casino! I’m not much of a gambler, but once in a while I like to come here. The drinks from the bar are wonderful! My favorite is the margarita from the bar in the back. They also have a good selection of food and their pizza is great!

Great scenery! We went right after a big storm and got to see the water frozen pretty high! It was gorgeous. My husband and I enjoyed the long walk on the beach. Pet friendly as well! We got to see all the puppies who were friendly!

Very large park on Lake Michigan. The line to get into the park was extremely long but the beach area and lake itself was just beautiful and refreshing. Only one toilet available at the beach and the line for it was massive as well. You can’t drive much around this park either like the others but it has lots of trails for hiking. It’s a good spot to go if you live nearby and don’t want to drive 16+ hours to the ocean.

The Dunes, as we affectionately call them, really proved themselves today. If you haven’t visited in the winter, you must. Lake Michigan and the sand dunes are majestic in the wintertime. The bonus of no gate admission was a welcome treat. Although the building near the beach is under construction, the public restroom was available. The new landscaping and building improvements are incredible. It’s hard to believe that it’s the same place!

Park with hotels & eateries, plus 15 miles of shoreline for swimming, hiking, bird-watching & more.

Slide 1 of 3

The park itself was nice and clean. It is definitely an "urban" National Park. Being a family that lives 40 miles from Lake Erie and has spent a lot of time there, on various parts of its coast, Lake Michigan was so much nicer and appeared cleaner. We stayed a few hours and enjoyed the change of scenery from the Utah deserts we came from. We try to hike at least one trail at every National Park and we hiked the Dune Succession Trail here, which had over 200 steps and went through forest-like parts of the park. Kind of surprising it was more than just a beach park. It changed elevation often. At it highest points, you can see all the huge sand dunes and Lake Michigan. When you aren't on a boardwalk or steps, the trail is deep, dry sand which makes it difficult to hike on. Definitely a work out fighting that sand! Lastly, they do not take the National Park Pass, you have to pay that entrance fee. Keep that in mind when you come here as well.

It’s my first time visiting and it was definitely worth it. This park is huge and has very well managed trails. You will get sand in your shoes and the wind off Lake Michigan can be strong. The view was clear enough at the West Beach we could see the Chicago skyline. Just double check where the bathrooms are located and make sure they are open, hard to enjoy a hike if you have to go and you’ve seen signs letting you know there’s cameras keeping watch to make sure people don’t go off trail and damage the delicate environment.

Indiana Dunes National Park is a beautiful park with lots to see! Plenty of easy parking. Walking from the parking lot to the shore line was a easy walk. Tons of walkable trails 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️ Fun facts: Indiana Dunes National Park hugs 15 miles of the southern shore of Lake Michigan and has much to offer. Whether you enjoy scouting for rare species of birds or flying kites on the sandy beach, the national park's 15,000 acres will continually enchant you.  Hikers will enjoy 50 miles of trails over rugged dunes, mysterious wetlands, sunny prairies, meandering rivers and peaceful forests. hugs 15 miles of the southern shore of Lake Michigan and has much to offer. Came to see The KISS farewell tour. The staff was so helpful and very well organized. Even with the amount of people that was there, they handled the crowds well. The drinks were a bit pricey but well worth it if you get a mixed drink which was called a "double." The restrooms were always clean and fully stocked, the staff was always very polite. So we were seating in the designated seating part of the concert, they made everyone show them their tickets and this happened at every entrance due to people trying to sneak in to our section. So they handled the seating very well. No one ever took our spots because the staff was always making sure no strays came by. Totally loved my experience here. Kudos to all the staff and specially to KISS for a memorable experience!!

We have come here numerous times even back when it was the World Music Theater. This place is awesome. We saw some of the best concerts ever here. I was lucky because back in 2006 my band had the opportunity to perform here for Warped Tour. Great spot!

Awesome!!! First time here and everything went smooth. Came here for the Luke Bryan, Dylan Scott and Runaway June concert. It was PACKED which was to be expected but there were no issues. The entry process was quick locating seats could’ve been a little better. Once it got dark it was harder to see…especially after knocking back a few of those vodka lemonades EXTRA VODKA lol. The bathrooms were fairly clean and they did have custodian standing by to periodically clean. They have a variety of food and snacks, I got a slice of cheese pizza from connies it was good just not real hot. We parked in premium parking for $40 it was closes to the venue so we didn’t mind. Leaving was a bit of a delay since everyone was leaving at once. Overall my experience was exceptional and I’ll definitely be back for another show!

3 Floyds Brewing

Happening craft brewery & pub with an edgy vibe & inventive small plates, plus facility tours.

Slide 1 of 3

I have only received 3 Floyd's through beer trades and I have always wanted to make the pilgrimage to the brewery. Unfortunately I had a very small window of when I would be in the area and it didn't fall within their normal hours. I called the day before placing my online order and they seriously helped me out. Their accommodation was world class. Amazing product, even more awesome team behind the brand!

Retail carry out only but it has bottles I have never seen in stores! Love that BA Blot out the Sun!

3 Floyds has some fantastic beers/drinks and excellent food, some of which are unlike anything I've ever had. Their bourbon barrel aged Moloko is absolutely phenomenal, and their Daytona Stinger mojito sour is... intense (very good, just... intense!). The food is delicious as well, when the restaurant is open, which it is not currently due to covid. We tried the pizza and cheese curds, both with the amazing pickled veggies on them!

A fantastic experience. It's always clean, organized and well staffed. This is a great place to get something for a holiday or small gift as much as just a sweet treat. Great place to bring kids. As someone with a child with a food allergy, it was great to find the staff well informed about what ingredients were in which products. They always have tons of "oops" gummies that are heavily discounted as well. A local gem!

Such a fun place to be a kid again. All kinds of candy from when I remember when I was a little girl. Chocolate covered gummy bears and every kind of chocolate covered berry and nut. Peanut butter cups are amazing!!

Absolutely love this place, the best chocolate pecan caramel patties you could find!! Huge selection of delicious treats!! Definitely check them out if you're in that area!!

Nicest outdoor model railroad layout I've ever seen. All of the plants are real - including the miniature Lily pads. Note: if you get there early you can see the special track cleaning trains that they run each day, before the display officially opens.

Very early in the season when I visited. The staff was super friendly, and I look forward to visiting again soon when the place is in full swing.

A very Beautiful place to visit. It makes you feel like a Kid again with All the skillful designed Trains and the History that goes with it! It also has very nice trails to walk for hiking or just to be out in nature and you can also bring your horse they have horse trails! If you have kids bring them it's is worth the price to get in.💜

Indiana Beach Boardwalk Resort

Water & Amusement Parks

Relaxed accommodations at a waterfront amusement resort with a pool & dining.

Slide 1 of 3

The new owners have done a great job restoring the park. We went on a Saturday in September, and most the rides were manned and operating, which is great since all the college staff is gone. The old favorite food places are there too. Very happy with the improved park.

Stayed in the Beach Club Cottage #10. Nice view, 2 br, 2 bath. Spacious lodging and clean. A little worn around the edges but within reason for a theme park cottage. The view was stunning. We kept the curtains open to the lake view. Water sport rentals are available. Here for Halloween and the crowds are small. No one is wearing a masks except a few employees. But most activities are outside. There is no waits, even on a Saturday. *The online booking site is confusing, it gave me the wrong room. So call before you book to avoid issues. AAA members and season pass holders are eligible for discounts. The cottage was quiet except for the sounds of the theme park across the parking lot attached to the cottages.

First time here, nice enjoyable park, has some great unique rides. For an amusement park, has no carmel or candied apples, no cotton candy, taffy or fudge for sale, which is really strange for a place like this. Souvenirs and gift shops were nice, but sparce with selections that other parks may offer. Staff seemed like they didn't want to be there, with the exception of maybe 20 ride hosts and hostesses. Aside from that, this is a really nice place.

Purdue was our first college visit. Beautiful campus and so vibrant, full of life. The whole experience was neat. All the staff and students were very welcoming. Loved Purdue! Go Boilermaker!

One of the greatest US higher education institutions. A real focus on engineering and agriculture issues that matter. Graduated more astronauts than any other school including Neil Armstrong. The engineering program may be the best in the US or world, tons of research going on and they have a lot of associated research campuses next to the campus including with aerospace companies. Great internship opportunities for students. They are really focused on getting students real skills to get a job which contributes to society. The campus is full of fun bright young people who restore your faith in the future and our youth. It is a real college campus feel, so much fun and so incredibly well run and operated. They treat their students like their "customers", and really do what the very best for them.

Fun university to walk around. The building architecture is a mix of brick and modern. Lots of fun little shops in the downtown area as well. Overall an enjoyable campus to visit

We enjoy this zoo as it is very cheap and a fun quick play day! Adding in the train ride and a paddle boat ride will make the experience even better! Plus a beautiful park and water park all in one area!

Very good landscaping very beautiful flowers. Lots of things to do at the park including a playground that's really nice and a zoo that is really cool, they have been doing construction for a long time but they finally got the ballpark up and running and it looks great. I visited here years ago and glad that I revisited recently. It has changed greatly with more of the mansion being accessible to the public. The woodwork is beautiful and the decor is of the period. The staff were courteous and knowledgeable.

Sieberling Mansion is absolutely beautiful. The two ladies that we talked to were very knowledgable with the history of the home. My daughter loved every room and all the display pieces. She said she enjoyed looking at everything and that it was a great birthday tour. We'll be back to see the Christmas decorations.

Super friendly attendant. She gave us a ton of info about the history of this house. Beautiful woodwork and stained glass throughout the house. Lots of local history. Could easily spend 2 hours seeing everything if you take the time .

Most towns have a little something that makes them unique . . . but a tree growing out of the top of courthouse. The Courthouse Tree is a very unique sight growing 110 feet above where you would expect a tree to be growing. The original was first noticed in the early 1870's. The Veterans Memorial on the Courthouse grounds is nicely done. The Town Square is nice with many locally owned small businesses and others in the area. There are places to gather and eat, get a cup of coffee, shop, and get a tattoo.

A very unique sight on a traditional courthouse square. Also has a veteran's memorial that is worth seeing, too. Not often that you'll see a quote from Calvin Coolidge in stone, but this is a good one!

A post shared by Ashley (@theblacktourguide) on Nov 4, 2018 at 2:40pm PST. Technically Huberts is in Indiana but it is worth the drive. It was pumpkin season and advertisements for Huberts orchard and winery were everywhere.

This tour of the winery and distillery was awesome. Ken did a fabulous job! The wine tasting was fabulous and you get to pick six wines or you also had the option to taste the spirits. There was music out on the patio and we also bout the package that included lunch. Burgers were huge and moist and fries were good too. If you are going to visit, I highly recommend the $35 package! Includes tour, tasting, lunch, glass of wine and a wine glass too! Pick a day when they have music. It was the perfect day and you cannot beat the experience for the price!

Stopped in for a wine tasting while in town visiting my parents. Beautiful property and establishment. Had a great wine tasting and definitely will be back when I visit next. Took home the their lakeside white, sweet stella di luce, and limestone white blend as my top three but others were good too. My step dad did the spirits tasting and I'd love to try some of their cocktails. Sipped his black raspberry bourbon liqueur and it was delicious.

So much to do at this place. Orchards and patches, markets and shops. Something for everyone, including the kids. Bamboo and corn mazes, slides, inflatable, racetracks... The winery and distillery are great. Youll easily spend a whole day here. There are several restaurants in the grounds too.

Founded all the way back in 1884, Louisville Slugger has been hand-crafting baseball bats for close to 140 years, and today their factory still stands in Downtown Louisville on the aptly-named Museum Row, churning out new bats every day. On the museum side of things (which takes about 2 hours to properly browse), visitors can explore the history of this all-American pastime through a range of interactive exhibits (like getting your own player profile card made or creating your very own personalized bat), as well as admire some iconic artifacts like Babe Ruth’s bat.

The Louisville Slugger is the most famous baseball bat in history, as numerous MLB players have become famous when playing with this Louisville-made bat. I haven’t bet or even watched any Derby before, but after my visit, I am definitely trapped by its charisma. The introductory movie is nice. It gives you all the details about the game. But what’s really amazing about this visit, is the tour after the movie. We went to the field where Kentucky Derby has taken place for more than 140 years. I learned a lot about the horse, the Jockey, the game, the price of seats and how the field is maintained. The visit really opens my eyes to a whole new world that I have not touched before. It’s a wonderful visit!!! Even you are not a Derby fan, you should check this museum out. It’s worthy!!!

Very interesting place about Derby History, you have to take the tour to the barns to see the horses but you have to be older than 8 years old. The history tour is very interesting and it was so cool to hear about the history and care they give to the horses definitely a must seen spot of Louisville 😉

I visited the museum as part of its annual Horses and Haunts Tour during October. Our guides Heather and Molly were excellent guides, providing a lot of history to this native and Derby attendee (for 45+ years)! It was super cool to see the track at night and hear these stories under the hallowed spires. Highly recommend visiting the museum and taking advantage of this tour every October!

We added the tour of Churchhill Downs, which allowed us to walk around the stands and the famous race track. ThoseCrazyNelsons.com share what to see in Louisville, KY.

There is nothing as heart-poundingly exciting as watching your money sprint away from you down a track. Err, I mean a horse. That’s what I meant.

We paid $17 each for a 30 minute tour of the grounds as well as entrance to the museum. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and encouraged us often to ask questions. As a childhood fan with very little knowledge of the history race, I was amazed with the history our tour guide was able to share in just the 30 minutes we were there. If you know more than me, you might ask questions and be pleasantly surprised to hear her explain Churchill Downs trivia. Since it was only a 30 minute tour, we didn't go far from the museum, but we did get to see the track and the winners circle under the twin towers! The museum is quite large and holds of a lot of interesting facts as well as interactive and informative games for some of the younger (or young at heart) crowd. 10/10, must visit!

One of the coolest things I've ever done! If you have the chance, visit Churchill Downs. It's an experience you'll never forget! When we visited, they had a bunch of food trucks in the vicinity. It was neat because you could walk around to a couple of food trucks, purchase some drinks, dance to the live music, and then go watch the horse races. We just sat in a general admission area which worked out perfect because we were there during the week when it wasn't crazy busy. Overall, we had an absolute blast!

Went to see horse races. Was a phenomenal experience. We got our tickets when we arrived which ended up costing us a third of the price. Has a parking lot concession stand for food drinks and a gift shop. You can smoke inside while watching the horse races. Once you enter you can't return. Races take place all day. Minimum bet for a horse race when we went was $50.

Louisville Zoo We tried the zoo, and while it had a few interesting exhibits, we found there to be a lot of empty space or grassy areas where we just couldn't see any animals. There was a fair amount of walking through dead space in between exhibits, as well, which made it hard for my 7 and 8 year olds to really engage in the experience.

We went for the Wild Lights night walk and it was amazing! Would recommend sunscreen and water bottles for sure!

My daughters first trip to the Zoo for her 3rd birthday. We had a blast! I will say there were quite a few exhibits that were closed or looked rough, and we honestly didn't really see all that many animals. Idk if it was the time if day (late afternoon) or just an off weekend but I definitely expected more to be going on with the animals. But they can't be up and out constantly so I think we just caught them at nap time 😊

We often pick random things to do in our city or surrounding area. Making memories for our son to remember forever is so important. We hadn't been to the zoo in a while and wanted to check it out before we decided on getting a pass this summer. Despite it being snowy and dead and almost everything closed and many animals put indoors, it was still fun! We can't wait to come back in the summer. You could easily spend an entire day here, and it's great exercise!

This adventure was the best idea, something different, and it did not disappoint. I registered, purchased tickets, and signed wavers all online and via digital delivery. It was so easy. I pulled up and drove around and found the location. There was not anyone else really around and even though there were signs I didn’t know what to do. I think those main tour doors needed to be construction orange or green with a big clear enter sign enter sign . There are lots of signs and info but needed to be a little more clear and simple.. After entering through the side and walking down a creepy hall, I walk into this massive room and there was the tram, and across the giant room was a town façade and waiting area. I made my way over and when walking into the underground welcome center was warmly greeting by seven or so staff. There was a gift shop, snack area, very nice restrooms, and an open indoor ropes course to the side. My tour was the first of the day of a Thursday so that was probably why there was no crowd to follow but it added to the adventure for me! The price was $21.94 and the tour lasted a little over an hour. It was awesome to see the inside and understanding the history and purpose of the cavern and it’s evolution. Shout out my tour guide Skeeter! He was the best! Great guide, extremely funny, and delivering an up beat, educational tour with a side of humor. I won’t give away all the history and stories so there will not be any real spoilers from the tour but I will say this was a great experience and so glad a booked the tram tour. It was definitely something different and fun to do.

Excellent tour with our tour guide Skeeter. Skeeter did a good job of providing us with laughs while also giving us the history of the caverns. My family and I chose the Tram tour since we have a small child. It is cool in the cavern but not cold. We were fine with a light jacket. It's not really a lot to see if you don't Zipline or do more of the exciting attractions. Kids might get a little bored on the tram. It is a huge place, I think about 17 miles and the tram is about 2 miles long. It's a unique experience and one I'd definitely say to give a try.

Much cooler than I expected! Mega Cavern is an old limestone mine that is massive. It has some interesting history as well once being a fallout shelter. Now it is a driving tour, adventure area, zip line tour, light show and even commercial storage. Worth the visit!

There’s Beckley Creek Park, which boasts both paved and natural trails that wind along the glistening creek;

Fun is basically guaranteed, no matter if you want to gaze at the majestic waterfalls of Broad Run Park, cool off at the splash pad at Beckley Creek Park, or hike through the Big Beech Woods at Pope Lick Park.

The Parklands is composed of four connected parks with separate addresses. The Parklands of Floyds Fork is located miles away from downtown, where you’ll find a more rural part of the city with one of the best parks in Louisville!. This area also happens to be 5 minutes away from where I grew up, and I’m still getting used to the idea that a giant park replaced the tiny one whose empty parking lot was where I drove a car for the very first time in my life. But nostalgia and ghost stories aside, the Parklands are rad.

Hide away from urban life and refresh your mind at the Parklands of Floyds Fork. This is a large green area that covers about 4 thousand acres and includes 4 amazing parks. So, here you can enjoy lakes, bridges, picnic pavilions, a plethora of roads, loans, gardens, and other interesting spots that are used for various events, weddings, farmer’s markets, etc.

The Parklands of Floyds Fork is only about 20 miles outside of downtown Louisville, but it feels like you’re in an entirely different world. And I should mention that though I say “park”, the Parklands is actually 4 separate parks situated over a whopping 4000 acres. There is so much to see and do here, like exploring 60-miles of hiking trails.

Louisville is a wonderful city for those who like to break up their time in the city with outdoor experiences. The city is full of ways to get some fresh air and exercise in the beautiful Kentucky outdoors. One of the best things to do in Louisville if you’re looking for a bit of fresh air is to visit the Parklands of Floyds Fork.

The five sections of The Parklands offer miles of hiking and mountain biking trails, canoeing, kayaking and stand up paddleboarding on the waterway known as Floyd Fork. Bring your fishing pole and your road bike, there are plenty of areas to enjoy both. Seasonal bicycle rentals are available.

The Parklands of Floyds Fork is located about 20 miles away from downtown, where you’ll find a more rural part of the city and one of the biggest parks in Louisville!. While I call it a “park”, it’s actually 4 separate parks that span over 4000 acres. This place is seriously ENORMOUS!

Growing in popularity is one of my favorite parks to visit, the Parklands of Floyds Fork. A new park system that stretches alongside the Gene Snyder Freeway and Floyds Fork. A collection of four different, unique parks with plenty of amenities.

What a beautiful park! There are great open spaces, access to trails and natural areas, and a dog park. There are parking lots spaced throughout, making it convenient to get in and get to relaxing quickly. There is a HUGE open lawn with a trail around it. It's perfect for just about anything from laying out, playing catch, flying kites, having a picnic, and so much more. There's sooooooo much room. If you like having wife open spaces and access to some other park amenities, the Parklands is perfect.

This is a great place to take your kiddos, my girls loved the water spouts. A must go to recreational park.

Quiet, peaceful place surrounded by nature. Loved taking my walk there.

So many all original cars in this collection. If you're looking for beefed up muscle cars he has a few but if you're looking for some classic cars that are beyond beautiful this is the place. And it's free too. Highly recommend stepping back in time and take the time to see how far cars have come. Unreal !!!

Took my girls for a small getaway. We had a blast! The kids loved everything! We were a little short for one or two rides. But that just makes us want to go back next year. The magic show was great. My little one got to go on stage. She loved it! Rides are great! The haunted house ride to us is our favorite. 10 plus times of riding it. It had been years since I had been. Loved everything about it!

I like this place but I honestly expected more from it. They have a small pool and splash park area for babies and toddlers which is really fun. Their wave pool, lazy River, and splash park for bigger kids is always a good time and keeps everyone cool and happy. Food is decent but the lines can get ridiculously long. There aren’t enough rides for small children but it is a good time if you have older kids. The workers there for the most part though are awful. Terrible attitudes, obviously don’t want to do their jobs, and some of the ride operators seem really young to be doing their job or seem like it isn’t a priority. It’s also very expensive so just be prepared.

Went a while back (prior to COVID-19) and loved it. It’s a nice place. Rides didn’t have long wait times. It was very clean. Not too crowded. This park deserves more love and I plan on returning this summer. Such an under rated and under appreciated little amusement park. Would totally recommend.

You don't have to be a Corvette nut to absolutely love this place, but it helps to love cars!! A superb museum with everything you need to see and know about Corvettes. The main lobby is also the delivery area for people to collect their new cars, so you get to see the absolute latest cars too. There's also a great exhibit about a sink hole that swallowed a load of cars from their collection... very interesting.

This place is beautiful. We didn't get to see the private collection, and I wish they had some sign at the check-in desk that have the hours of when they are open. Also the cafe was closed (closes at 3p) when we went and I was looking forward to doing that too but they weren't open. The Museum has a wonderful collection of corvettes over the years. They deliver their timeline beautifully. TCM also shows their entire sinkhole collection and history of everything. They have a special room. It's magnificent to see. You really feel the energy from that day in there. It's displeasing to say the least. But, wonderfully put together. There are lots of photos of the different era cars on the Google page, however, I clicked the snap button on my favorites. I did check out the brick engraving and that's $125 to do that, but gets shared after a while due to weather. However, they do have nice octagon shaped bricks inside and those are $250 for non members and $200 for members. This would make for a better option if you would like your legacy to live on for years to come.

Wow!!! This place is amazing! What a great job of preserving and presenting the history of the Corvette. The displays are immaculate. The entire museum is very well lit and all the signage is easy to read. I did not know that they had a cave collapse that wrecked eight cars. I couldn't stay as long as I wanted, but I'll be back SOON!!

We really enjoyed our visit today! The boat ride was nice and the cave is beautiful. Our tour guide was super funny and made it so much more enjoyable as she educated us on the natural history of the area. I felt good spending money here, knowing that the proceeds go to and not for profit foundation set up to preserve this historical cavern. The site also ties in with Civil War history, which was an extra bonus for my boys.

We had so much fun on our visit to Lost River Cave. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Nashville. This was our sons favorite part of vacation. It is just a short 45 minute drive from Nashville and well worth it. I purchased our tickets online and there are a few benefits of that. I was able to get a discount on the kids mining buckets which they loved! And you also receive a coupon for the gift shop. The tour guides do an amazing job and know a lot of history about the cave and area which I enjoyed. Really all the staff from the gift shop to the guides are super friendly and helpful. If you are visiting when it is cooler be sure to bring a jacket you do have to walk outside some and will want a jacket. Just a note our kids are 9 and 2.5 and it was perfect for them. I was unsure if our daughter would enjoy it or be entertained long enough to sit still for the tour but she did fine. I highly recommend the mining bags or buckets kiddos get to pan for treasure (gemstones shark teeth and geodes) outside of the gift shop and ours loved that experienced.

Such a cool experience! The short walk back up the hill is worth it! Our guide was so knowledgeable and had great dad jokes! The cave is beautiful. Was hoping it was bigger but hey its a cave! Was so interesting learning all the history and with that was put into this. Definitely worth the stop! Oh and the gift shop has so many good tourist stuff!

Chaney's Dairy Barn

Restaurant

Sights & Landmarks

Housemade ice cream & sandwich spot set on a working dairy farm offering tours & events.

Slide 1 of 13

You can make the short trip out into the bucolic South Central Kentucky farmland to visit this dairy farm open as an agritourism destination. On a self-guided tour you’ll get a good look at the herd of Jersey cows, as well as the robotic milker, one of only a few in Kentucky. There’s a newly updated children’s playground and seasonal attractions like a corn maze to keep younger visitors entertained.

If you want to sample some of the state’s delicious local produce, look no further than the charming Chaney’s Dairy Barn. Lying along one side of the road to the nearby Franklin, it has mouthwatering homemade ice cream, sandwiches and burgers to try. At the friendly, family-run farm, visitors can take interesting tours around its pastures and see how its irresistible ice cream is produced.

Chaney's Dairy Barn is the place to stop for a family-friendly day full of delicious eats. Choose from menu options like sandwiches, salads, wraps, paninis, soups, burgers, hotdogs, and even homemade ice cream made with fresh milk and cream!. Fido is welcome to join you at one of their ten pet-friendly outdoor tables while you enjoy your meal, or snag a seat at one of their rocking chairs.

After a hot and humid summer day spent enjoying the sites, no trip to Bowling Green is complete without a stop at Chaney’s Dairy Barn. It doesn’t get any fresher than this when it comes to farm-fresh dairy-made ice cream. With close to 50 varieties of ice cream to choose from (some flavors may be seasonal), you will not be limited on your ice cream flavor choices.

Chaney’s Dairy Barn is a family-friendly restaurant in Bowling Green, KY. It is surrounded by rolling farmlands and offers the best homemade ice cream in Kentucky. You can meet the cows responsible for your delicious homemade ice cream made on the premises. Kids will enjoy the large playground area to burn off lots of energy. Adults might even want to try out the slide too.

Founded back in 2003, Chaney’s Dairy Barn & Restaurant is a seemingly deceiving animal farm barn at first glance, but it’s actually a quirky little restaurant that serves homemade ice cream.

In 2003, Chaney’s Dairy Barn began serving some of the best-tasting ice creams in Kentucky today. They are the only place in the state which makes their ice cream using their very own milk.

The ice cream is really awesome here. We enjoy eating ice cream in the play area with the grand kids. Though this is little away from the city, it is worth driving here and enjoy in the open countryside environment. They also host many events for kids and families. We had seen one movie also in the open air, after it gets dark. We are one of their regulars. We come with our guests here and everyone likes a unique experience.

I Love coming here. They have a fun little gift shop and the ice cream is so well priced and good! Food is also decent. Love that you can visit the cows and that they have a playground outside for the kids to enjoy. All I wish is there was an area more towards the smaller kids to enjoy but aside from that this place is great.

We always stop at Chaney's every time we are in the area. We tried the carrot cake in waffle cake for the first time. Delicious!! The ice cream tastes like butter cream icing with chunks of carrot cake. Definitely must try it for yourself.

Bell Witch Cave

Historical landmark

Sights & Landmarks

Narrow cave & replica family cabin on a farmstead thought to be haunted since the early 1800s.

Slide 1 of 3

A once in a lifetime chilling fun experience. This cave was worth exploring. Wear a helmet it's short at the beginning. The guide owned half of the property and knew so much.. her side has the cave in which water flowed into the Red River. I caught orbs on camera and felt so calm in there.

Beautiful yet creepy place to visit! It's a must see place. The owners of this property were very nice. The property is beautiful and well kept. We loved the tour and hearing the history. Take pictures inside the cave. I even had a couple of pictures that I did not take show up in my gallery..... creepy!

Number 2: Bell Witch The story of the Bell Witch of Tennessee began circulating in the early 1800's, after Farmer John Bell and his family moved to the community of Red River, Tennessee, from North Carolina. Before long, the family started reporting a variety of STRANGE incidents. These included whispering voices similar to those of old women singing hymns, night terrors about RATS gnawing away at the family's beds, and the sighting of a bizarre animal, which appeared to be a hybrid between a rabbit and a dog. A spirit believed to have been that of a woman called Kate Batts began haunting Bell's home. The entity was able to speak, change form, and EVEN affect the physical environment. According to legends, the family also discovered a vial an unknown liquid inside the house. They gave a dose of the liquid to their cat, and their animal died on the spot. As the story goes, before he became president, Andrew Jackson had heard of Bell's troubles, and decided to investigate the haunting. He, and several of his men, including a witch-slayer that carried silver bullets in his gun, visited Bell's farm, and it was JACKSON, who dubbed the presence, the "Bell Witch." By 1820, John Bell had grown ill due to the witch's constant torment. By some accounts, it was the witch that actually poisoned him. After his funeral, the sounds of laughter and SINGING could be heard coming from the graveyard, and Bell became the only person in history whose death was attributed to the actions of a spirit.

The food was amazing... The stuff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was very nice and somewhat romantic

We were just traveling through and we saw a billboard and we thought we would stop. It seems like a pretty new place. Was very clean it wasn't too smoky, but it was early on a Sunday when we were traveling and maybe all the smokers weren't there yet. They did have a non-smoking area up on the second floor, but it was very small and very few games. My husband and I being non-smokers, my husband an ex-smoker we really would like to see casinos really expand their non-smoking areas.

To be honest I want to give it one star because I never ever win here but I'm not really that petty LOL. The reason I gave it four stars though is because I'm a semi truck driver and there's no parking for us at all so you have to walk about a mile from the truck stop to get to it. Just a warning it is a smoking casino for all you non-smokers there is a non-smoking area but but it still travels. Whenever I visit there under construction so it looked like half their parking lot was under construction too so not a whole lot of parking but they're still a good amount the casino was clean itself and it looked like they were walking around sterilizing machines so it seems safe enough.

Bledsoe Creek State Park

Former Native American hunting ground now features a lake, campsites & 6+ miles of hiking trails.

Slide 1 of 3

We had an amazing two week stay at the campground. The staff were incredibly friendly. All the facilities were incredibly clean and the entire grounds were well maintained. With the gated entry and the ranger always nearby we felt incredibly safe at all hours of the night The camp hosts were always around and eager to help. They provided recommendations on restaurants, nearby activities and other state parks to visit. I found their firewood to be a better deal than that from stores in town. The wildlife was plentiful and very accustomed to people. Often I would enjoy my morning coffee with a whole herd of deer about 25 feet from my window.

Really nice campground. First time here and all staff and rangers have been very nice. Highly recommend if you are looking for a place to camp. We definitely will be back. Nice to see wildlife in the park also. Have seen a ton of deer walking around and not too far away. Has been very quiet compared to a lot of other places we have stayed. Have heard owls and other nightlife talking. Very comforting place.

Just attended the 8th Annual History Trail here with my 3 and 5 year old. What a BEAUTIFUL campground! It I had an RV, I would definitely take it here. There are such lovely trails all over, a nice playground for the children, clean restroom facilities, not to mention the actual History Trail, which was amazing. If you've never been, you should go! The views of the lake were splendid, and everything was so pretty. We even saw a deer. ♥️ 🦌

Park

Family-friendly setting with playgrounds, plus tennis, basketball & sand volleyball courts.

Slide 1 of 3

if you are in the area and have kids, charlie daniels park is the place to stop! they have a playground area for each age group, plenty of swings to go around, a rock wall, a handful of slides different heights and i didn’t even mention the best part, the main playground climbs up 3 “flights” of playground stairs! this thing is impressive, coming from a mom’s prospective. my 11 month old loved the playground just as much as my 3 year old.

One of the beautiful, well maintained and easily accessible park in Mt.Juliet. This park is good for all ages - play area, tennis court, splash pad, walk path, running trails, extensive parking etc. There are a lot of activities held at the park depending on the timing or season. Only downside is the restrooms, it's a bit tiny to handle such footprint at the park, hope this gets better. You don't need a reason to visit this place, just show up and there is plenty to be engaged in.

sOoo much to do!! The kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves lots for all ages .. and they have wi fi !!

Cedars of Lebanon State Park

900-acre park featuring rock gardens & rare plants, plus 8 miles of trails for hiking & riding.

Slide 1 of 3

Cedars' of Lebanon is a really nice state part. We stayed 3 nights in our Travel Trailer. The campground host was very friendly and helpful. The campsite we were at was a bit small and close to the next camper, but there were many others to choose from that were more spacious and shaded. There is plenty of hiking in and around the park. I really enjoyed the boulder beds on the Cedar Forest Trail, but the special habitat of this region is the limestone glades. Glades range from bare rock to a thin substrate of soil with desert-like vegetation to shallow soil grasslands. The glades may be small or large open areas surrounded by cedar trees. When we were there in late winter there was not much to be seen in the way of wildflowers, but the trails were very quiet and pleasant. Also, if you want to spend a day in the city, Nashville is less than 45 minutes away.

Wonderful park with friendly staff. Lots of great hiking trails. The visitor center is small but well kept and easily accessible. There are clean restrooms inside the visitor center and a half mile loop hiking trial. There are shelters, picnic tables, kids play area, tennis court, beautiful butterfly garden and information center. There is also Jackson cave which requires permit to enter of course. Campgrounds and Cabin are available which can be reserved online or at the check-in station. Beautiful place to be irrespective of the time of the year!

We had camped here before and really liked the place. This time was different. Our site was not cleaned prior to our arrival. Had to clean beer cans and aluminum foil from the fire ring. Our grille had dozens of cigarette butts in it, so we used our own grill. A nearby site had a couple that played loud music and commercials that resounded throughout the campground. Not the park's fault, unless they allow it to continue, which they did. The same campers used the sink in the bathroom to wash their dishes (gross), and left trash on their site that was still there 2 days after they left. Exactly what are the camp hosts doing? Since there is not much to do in the area, without going to Nashville, I doubt we'll return.
