Four House Crests
A Student in Peril

House Crest 1 (00:24):
At the back right of the library, there is a puzzle cabinet. Use Hermione to complete the puzzle and retrieve the crest.

House Crest 2 (00:46, 01:29):
There are six plant pots to shoot for the crest. The first four can be found in the first area. The last two are either side of the steps before you enter the restricted section.

House Crest 3 (01:11):
In the first area, part of the story requires you to gather a spider for a potion. The web the spider is on can be destroyed with dark magic. Destroy everything behind the web to find the crest.

House Crest 4 (02:47):
In the final area, by the mirror, there are three large spider webs with spiders on them. Shoot the three spiders for the crest.

Student In Peril(01:53):
Once you’re in the second area, head to the back of the left corridor to find a silver-bricked bird cage. Destroy it. Rebuild the bricks into a flying books which releases pieces to rebuild a clock. Once the clock is back in place, the student will jump out of it.

Character Token #1 – Harry (PJs) (00:37 ):
In the first area, on the ground floor on the right under the upper platform, destroy the light brown stand there for the token.

Character Token #2 – Filch (01:36) :
To the left of the steps up to the restriction section, there is a Griphook lock. Unlock the box for the token.

Character Token #3 – Neville (PJs) (02:30):
In the final area, to the right of the mirror, there is a case that can be opened with dark magic. Use a dark wizard to retrieve the token.

Year One, Level Four: The Restricted Section

In this level, you’ll need a Regular Wizard, Dark Wizard, Book Character, Animagus/Scabbers/Crookshanks, and Goblin.

First Time

When the level starts, shoot the flowerpot on the table to the right. There’s another one on the opposite end of the table. Put on the Invisibility Cloak and take care of the two books beforehand, to get them out of the way. After getting rid of the second book, destroy the flowers on the ground and levitate the cauldron in front of the door. Shoot the two flowerpots on either side of the cauldron, then shoot the desk on the left. Build the book and give it to the statue, then stand on the yellow book and Ron will levitate you up. Jump from that book to the stack of books and bounce up. Levitate the torch to burn down the door and collect the Popsicle inside. Add the ingredient to the cauldron, then stand on the book that the opposite statue is holding and Ron will levitate you up again. Collect the flower bouquet off of the side of the balcony. If you want, before jumping back down and adding it to the cauldron, use Wingardium Leviosa on the plant to the right. Doing so will make a quicker and easier way to get up to the right-hand balcony. Add the item to the cauldron, then climb back up and shoot the book case in the middle. Take the spider off of the web and add it to the cauldron, completing the potion and giving you access to the next room.

Shoot the first row of books as you enter the next part of the level. Pick up the green piece on the ground and carry it to the next aisle to add it on to the gate. Put the other two pieces on the gate as well. Walk forward and grab the key. This key unlocks the gate at the end of this hallway. Before going through, shoot the two flowerpots at the bottom of the staircase that leads to this gate to earn the Hufflepuff Crest piece. Go through the gate and use Scabbers to crawl through the maze and knock down the other piece of the door. Levitate the piece up to the door to enter the final part of the level.

Go to the left and shoot the spiderweb. Then, go down the stairs and shoot the two spiderwebs on either side of the mirror to get the Slytherin Crest piece. Use Lumos Solem on the plant to the right, and then shoot the two upper corners of the Mirror of Erised to draw back the curtain. Walk up to the Mirror to finish the level.

Free Play

After destroying the two books at the start of the first area, use a Book Character on the book case to get the Gryffindor Crest piece. Then, go underneath the balcony on the right and use Reducto on the easel to get the character token for Harry (Pyjamas). Climb up to the right balcony and destroy the middle bookshelf (where you got the spider). Get a Dark Wizard to use Crucio on the chest behind the web to earn the Ravenclaw Crest piece.

In the second part of the level, use Reducto on the cage in the first row of bookshelves. Put the clock together to release the Student In Peril. To the left of the gate with the maze inside is a small vault. Use a Goblin to unlock the vault and get the character token for Filch.

Finally, get a Dark Wizard to use Crucio on the cabinet to the right of the Mirror of Erised to get the character token for Neville (Pyjamas).

Entrance Hall On the left side of the room the student is hanging from a portrait. Hit the bookcase below him to knock the books off of it then use Wingardium Leviosa on them to build platforms up to the student. Go up to him and he will jump down to safety.

How do you get through the restricted section in LEGO Harry Potter?

As Harry or Ron, use magic to send the debris flying toward the back door. It'll attach and cause the door to swing open. Pass through that doorway to enter the area on the other side.
