Is turkey bacon healthy

Turkey bacon has slightly less fat and fewer calories than pork bacon and could be a better alternative for people on special diets or can't eat pork.

Uncured Turkey bacon is excellent for family and friends who are heart and health-conscious or are simply watching their cholesterol.

But! Like pork bacon, turkey bacon is high in saturated fat and sodium.

It's still best to enjoy bacon in moderation. Select reduced-sodium varieties and don't add salt during the cooking process.

How long to cook turkey bacon in the air fryer

Cooking bacon in the air fryer does not take a lot of time depending on your air fryer's capacity, but it takes to cook around 10 minutes.

Step 3. Cook for 5 minutes. Open the air fryer and turn the bacon over.

How do you know turkey bacon is done

Watch the bacon closely the first time you air fried it to ensure it meets the crispness you want. Write down the amount of time it takes to reach your desired level of crispness, and you'll get perfect bacon in the air fryer forever!

You may see that some of the packages are labeled cured, and some uncured. It is better to pick up uncured bacon because this means the meat has not been cured with sodium nitrates.

You can buy any brand with uncured turkey bacon that doesn't have nitrate

Some of my favorites are Applegate Turkey Bacon and also the Trader joe's turkey bacon. Both uncured

If you don't have an air fryer, this is the air fryer I have and love because it is so easy to use, and it gets a lot of use around here. I also bought an air fryer lid for my instant pot pressure cooker, and it amazing to have one if you own a pressure cooker.
