The game still crashes on the series X as well it's the game itself. Dont know about any fixes though but the problem exists on the series x as well maybe not as often though.

Ah, it's a corrupted save.

Do a power cycle. Press the Xbox button on the console for 10 seconds or until it turns off. Unplug the power cord then wait for a minute before plugging it back in. Turn on the Xbox after a few seconds then try running FO4 again.

Did all of that. I can start a completely fresh start, no mods, no FPS boost or HDR... if I bee-line to downtown, guaranteed instant crash on the Series S (and the Xbox One actually as I tried it on that console). On my old-ass PS4, no crashes at all.

Xbox version of the game is messed up.

GOTY Edition has crashed on me a few times, and I'm not well pleased. Just tonight, I managed an unlikely conversation option and the game crashed as soon as I left the area. I'm just hopeful that I won't have to replay that whole section over.

I can play just fine until I get to downtown and then it’s just a matter of time before it crashes

The last creation club update broke Boston on Xbox. Crashes frequently now and beth won't fix it. Literally it's the game and mods or not makes no difference. Whether or not you have any creations doesn't help as it's the update itself causing the problem.

Fallout 4 freezes constantly on Series S if you try to walk from Diamond city to goodneighbor you won't make if without the game crashing to dashboard or freezing. Once you have visited these places you can fast travel then the game is mostly stable but waling around outside goodneighbor is asking for trouble.

Which should be fixed. I gave up and just completely deleted the game off my Series S. Can't believe I wasted Microsoft Rewards points for a $5 gift card (only had to pay like 38 cents for game after) to get the game on sale digitally a few weeks ago. I have a physical game of the year edition I got for $11 new at Walmart last year that played perfectly fine on my Xbox One X back then.

God forbid I wanted to replay on Series S so grabbed the standard version on sale. I already had the game of the year physical which has season pass code so I already had the DLC. Oh well guess maybe try to replay it on my Xbox One X eventually or see if there is any updates on fixes for Series S.

Try getting rid of your companion if u have one. I think it's to much for the game to handle around good neighbor and the railroad stuff. Same thing was happening to me and that seems to fix it
