Propane tanks

Propane tanks should NEVER be placed in your curbside recycling or trash cart. Many landfills, recycling centers, and scrap metal dealers cannot recycle unwanted tanks because of the residual propane inside. However, most propane exchange companies, including Blue Rhino, will take them and recycle them at no cost to you. Simply leave your empty beside a propane exchange display.

It’s always good to know that a company backs their items and responds to their customers by offering refunds for returned items at full value.

What is Party City Return Policy?

Party City offers in-store and online returns and exchanges except for a few items. Party City will provide a return or exchange within thirty days of your original purchase, however, their official position is to deny returned packages that have been opened. 

Party City will also accept returns made through DoNotPay, which is an app designed for expediting refunds, flipping the tables on spam callers and robocalls, suing corporations, and fighting parking tickets. 

Exchanging Items Purchased In-Store

Any item purchased in-store can be returned—to any Party City store, regardless of which one it was originally purchased from—within thirty days for a full refund. You will have to provide the original receipt or the return will be denied. 

You can also return items to Party City, in-store, that were purchased online. Since you will not have received a traditional receipt for an online purchase, you’ll need to print out a copy of your order confirmation, received by email, and bring that in.

It doesn’t matter which Party City you return your items to, including those items purchased online, however, without a confirmation email or an original receipt, it is Part City’s policy to deny your return.

Ultimately, it probably means that Party City has a large, potential consumer base that likely continues to shop elsewhere. 

Judging from consumer sentiment across a range of forums, it’s not the most welcome return policy in the world and is largely unappreciated by most, especially for consumers who prefer to prepare for parties for quite some time before it takes place. 

Are There Return Exceptions?

Party City doesn’t list any exceptions or particulars about their return policy. It’s pretty straightforward. Seasonal exchanges are exceptions but not in a good way.

Party City Return Policy Canada

The return policy for Party Cities located in Canada is the same as the United States, with the major exception being that there is a 90-day return window in Canada, whereas the return policy in the U.S. is only 30-days.

Currently, many Canadian Party City stores aren’t accepting returns during the lockdown. Those who want to return items and, the timeframe passes while in lockdown, will be granted a 60-day extension. 

Halloween Return Policy
