Code Vein where to go after dried up trenches

Please refer to the map below to find the numbered items on this walkthrough and to have a general direction of where you’re going, especially when portions of the map are not revealed when you’re exploring it for the first time.

Mistles:

• Dried-up Trenches Entrance
• Decayed Ship Interior
• Frozen Seabed

After defeating the boss, this mistle will appear so use it to heal up and continue through the path ahead. Approach the bloodspring to trigger a cutscene.

After the scene, take the elevator down. Exit the elevator then follow the straightforward path until you reach the Dried-up Trenches. Approach the mistle to trigger another cutscene. Complete Louis’ memory sequence and you’ll receive the Prometheus Vestige I automatically afterward. Activate the mistle once done and start exploring.

Dried-up Trenches Entrance

This is a pretty tricky area to navigate with lots of hidden and overlapping paths. Start by following the path around the corner and beware of enemies that will jump on you. Start by picking up the Loss Shard (M) (1) on the first alcove to the right. Continue along the road then turn right. There’s an enemy that will climb up from the ledge so deal with it then pick up the Freezing Cartridge x3 (2) in the end of the path.

Take the other path next. There’s another item on the alcove to the left but there’s a ledge above where an enemy will drop on you. You can throw a dagger at it or use a ranged attack to lure it to you before picking up the item. Once the enemy is dealt with, pick up the Anti-Slow x5 (3)

Continue along the path then pick up the Ichor Concentrate x2 (4) along the path. If you look down, there’s a curved walkway below.

You’ll need to jump to that walkway. Before jumping, take note that there’s an enemy waiting out of view that will ambush you so prepare to block or evade. Find the right spot where you can jump then deal with the enemy quickly. Enter the cave nearby to find a rotten mistle. Purify that mistle then follow the walkway north until you find a ladder.

Climb up the ladder. The connecting chamber has three dangerous enemies so deal with them accordingly. Once clear, pick up the Darkseeker Vestige Part B (5) from the ledge before jumping back to the main path. After jumping, you’ll land in front of an Awake MJ109 (6).

From that spot, the paths will split and converge far later in the map. That’s why we’ll explore the western path first. Walk past the western path first then defeat the enemies nearby so you can pick up the Ichor Concentrate x2 (7) on a life preserver past the alcove.

Continue around the corner and you’ll see a red enemy inside an alcove to the left, as well as a fireball-shooting enemy along the way. Kill the enemies then pick up the Chemical Light x5 (10) from the spot where that red enemy is sitting inside the alcove.

Now backtrack to split on the path and head west this time. Follow the path a bit then turn to the right. Pick up the Slow Vaccine x3 (8) from the ledge.

Now turn around and look down along the ledge to the west, across the cavern where you got the Slow Vaccines. There’s a hidden ledge below (L1) where you can jump. Drop down and follow the path. Carefully peek around past the ladder and defeat the enemy so you can loot the chest containing a Broadsword +3 (11).

Now climb up the ladder and follow the path. You should see another ladder and if you peek down, a red enemy at the end of another walkway below. Slide down the ladder, kill the red Lost, and pick up a Regen Inducer (12). From there, you can climb back up take the path south which will lead you to a ledge connected to the main path. Jump down and backtrack to the split.

Take the western path again and defeat more enemies along the way. Be careful of the gunner Lost at the end of the path. Defeat it then pick up the Inhibit Cartridge x3 (9) lying on the ground, along the path.

Continue ahead and pick up the Elegant Fountain Pen (13) on the ledge to the right. Destroy the wooden obstacles along the path and take out the enemy hiding behind it.

Don’t enter the cavern yet; instead, keep destroying the wooden crates so you can drop down to the ledge (L2) below.

Follow the path and take out the enemies along the way. Pick up the Queen Iron (14) around the corner of the path, then take out the enemy by the rotten mistle. After purifying it, you can now drop down to the ledge below and pick up a Vivifier (15).

Take the path to the right next, then turn to the right and look down to find another ledge (L3) you can drop down to. Continue uphill to find a chest to the left. Open it to get a Night Spear +3 blood veil (16). Now enter the cavern, defeat the enemy there and pick up the Awake MJ109 (17). Jump back down to the same spot where you jumped down from the rotten mistle’s location.

From there, head south to find several caverns or possible paths. If you take the first left, there’s a red Lost waiting inside. Defeat it then pick up another Awake MJ109 (18) to the left. The other end of this cavern leads to the alternate (lower) path from the two primary split-paths earlier. Just take note of its location for now then backtrack a bit.

Next, pick up the Blood Cartridge X3 (19) from the other ledge along the way. Destroy the enemy in the next alcove to find a ladder behind it.

Climb down the ladder and defeat a strong, Cerberus member guarding this tunnel. Once clear, loot the Raven Fatigues +3 (20) blood veil from the chest to the left and a Regen Activation Factor (21).

Backtrack to the ladder and climb back up. Head to the shortcut mentioned earlier (second cavern, then turn right). There’s another item and enemy below the ledge. Jump off and attack to deal critical damage to the enemy then pick up Lost Shard (S) (22)

Now follow the path and take out enemies along the way. Once you’ve reached the large, open area, plan how to deal with them. You’ll have to clear them all before you can reach the next mistle.

Decayed Ship Interior

After defeating all of them, circle around to the southwest (don’t cross the bridge yet) to find the walkway where you can safely drop. Don’t forget to pick up the Loss Shard (S) (23) before jumping down.

Jump down and you’ll find a split in this walkway. The cavern to the left contains a few goodies but if you’re desperately trying to get to the next mistle (which is literally a few steps away), I suggest ignoring that cave for now and take the path to the right.

There’s a corrupted revenant around the corner so be careful not to get caught by surprise. Finally, you’ll reach the mistle. Activate it then pick up the Queen Iron (24) nearby.

After activating the mistle but before climbing up the ladder, backtrack to the split earlier and enter the cavern. Kill the two enemies inside then loot the Riot Breaker +3 (25) from the chest. Destroy the wooden boxes nearby then pick up the Awake MJ018 (26) underneath.

Now backtrack to the mistle then go up the ladder. Pick up the Map: Town of Sacrifice (27) beside a white-armored corpse and Powerful Spices (28) from the edge of the platform.

Now you can go down and cross the narrow bridge. There’s an enemy patrolling there so be careful. Pick up the Anti-Slow x3 (29) along the way.

Frozen Seabed

Before rushing in, take note that there are several ranged enemies waiting, on top of melee units. I suggest rushing straight ahead, kill the ranged shooter and fight near the ledge to avoid getting sniped by the shooter above. After killing them, pick up the Ichor Concentrate (30) and Blood Cartridge x3 (31) nearby.

Head to the next are to the west and take out the ranged shooter. Two enemies will climb up from the ledge while another large Lost will join in from the nearby cavern. Defeat all of them then destroy the wooden crates near the edge to find a Darkseeker Vestige Part A (32).

Before entering the nearby cavern, drop down to the lower path to the northwest and pick up an Awake MJ109 (33). Follow the bony walkway and take out the Lost guarding the ladder at the end. Climb up the ladder, defeat the large Lost walking outside. Destroy the pile of wooden boxes to the left to find a Chocolate Garlic Flakes (34) underneath.

Now enter the cavern to the south and defeat all enemies inside. Pick up the Condensed Loss Shard (S) (35) at the end then drop down from the ledge leading to the corridor below.

Destroy the boxes then pick up the Awake MJ109 (36) underneath and you’ll find the rotten mistle ahead. Be careful since there’s an enemy hanging on the ledge to the left. Destroy it then purify the mistle.

From there, just follow the path then drop down to the ledge below. Climb the ladder then jump off from the ledge to the left to get back to the main path.

Enter the cavern to the northeast and climb down the ladder to reach the last normal mistle for this map. Prepare yourself for a boss fight afterward. Follow the link below for a detailed strategy guide for defeating this boss.

After defeating the boss, approach the bloodspring to trigger a cutscene. After the scene, approach the glowing vestige in the middle of the crypt and pick it up to obtain the Darkseeker Vestige Core (37). Return to the mistle and teleport back to your home base to continue with the story.
