Call of duty: ghosts 2 cancelled

[GHOSTS] call of duty ghosts was released in 2013 it was a disappointment to some fans (especially extinction). Some people don’t think it’s ever gonna happen but I think it will. every call of duty game is made after 2-3 years and it’s been almost 10 years since cod ghosts has released and especially what happens at the end. SPOILER ALERT. We know at the end Logan got captured by rorke. And the fact that he was underground in the sewers somewhere. Like Elias said rorke got left there starved and beaten. I think that might happen to Logan it will be interesting to see if he gets reunited with the ghosts or be a federation. Please leave your comments below

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare has been the point of a lot of discussions online recently. Though the game was decried upon launch for drastically abandoning the boots-on-the-ground gameplay from Call of Duty's past, a lot of fans think it's high time that the game was reevaluated outside the context of the franchise's history.

Many feel that 2016's narrative was a stand-out compared to its shooty peers, and that if the game were to ever come to Game Pass as a part of the rumoured Call of Duty dump on the service, fans ought to give it a go to see past the changes it was bold enough to make. But, Infinite Warfare could equally have been much more - as a cancelled Extinction sequel mode was briefly on the table.

Infinite Warfare Almost Had Extinction 2

To be fair, if we made Extinction 2 there would not have been IW Zombies. The studio was nervous about taking COD to space and didnt want “aliens” in it, even though the cryptids were not aliens.

It has been revealed by members of the team that worked on Infinite Warfare that a sequel to Ghosts' Extinction mode was in the works for the game, but was ultimately scrapped. In a conversation on Twitter with some fans, ex-developers Lee Ross and Brian Bright discussed their prototype for the scrapped mode.

"Extinction 2 would have been AMAZING!" says Ross. "That prototype we built had so much promise!" To which Bright explains the mode that was in the works - "To be fair, if we made Extinction 2 there would not have been IW Zombies. The studio was nervous about taking CoD to space and didn't want 'aliens' in it, even though the cryptids were not aliens."

Some Fans Aren't Keen On The Idea Of Extraction 2

Though it's an exciting prospect that Extinction could have got a sequel, the mode was controversial even on launch, and players seem much happier with the Zombies mode that we got instead.

"Now that you have given some content, I have to say you guys made the right decision," replies one fan. "And if that prototype gave you guys some actual insight into the pathing and implementation of Cryptids in beast from beyond, I see that as a win-win."

The addition of Extraction 2 would have been interesting to see, but so far on from the launch of both games, it's unlikely we'll ever see the fan-favourite mode again. These days, we're too busy blasting the brains out of Nazi zombies - with rumours we're getting a standalone Zombies entry. Here's hoping you enjoyed Extraction while it lasted.
