Black Ops Cold War players keep experiencing connection issues. For some reason, Activision’s newest title gets these issues far more than Call of Duty games from before.
Even when the game was in a trial period, i.e. when the beta version was available, players kept getting the same errors then too. Seems linking the accounts with Activision is the problem.
How to Fix Lost Connection to Host Error – COD Black Ops Cold War
As I said, it’s really bizarre that this issue keeps popping up, and how they haven’t addressed it yet. Surely, its roots might go deeper into the soil, but on the surface, it doesn’t seem that way.
Maybe that’s the reason it hasn’t been addressed yet. The only fix is to link your corresponding account from your platform to your Activision account.
If you want to fix lost connection to host error in Cold War, then link your account in the following way:
- The first thing you need to do is open Activision’s official website, and log in.
- Go to your Profile.
- Log in with the account on whatever suite or platform you are using to play Cold War.
- After that, your accounts should be linked.
- Launch Cold War!
Weak Internet Connection
However, if you are still getting the same error over and over again, then you might not have a strong enough connection to run Cold War.
That might occur due to many things. But if you are convinced that your provider has implemented a good enough network at your location, then you could try to reset the router.
This will reset all of the IPS settings. Nevertheless, you can also try using a VPN to play this game, as well as using a hotspot or switching between Wi-Fi and Ethernet.
By trying all of these methods mentioned above, you are mainly troubleshooting on the origin of the error. If you do find it, you have the corresponding fix for it.
