I'm a newbie so not sure which to go with. Initially, was leaning towards the ROG but maybe it's overkill and I should go with the TUF? Like I said, I'm not too familiar with motherboard basics and what I need and don't need. Must do more research but anyone have thoughts on this comparison for my needs of Lightroom Classic, occasional Photoshop, light video editing, minimal gaming, and general usage? Parts List: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Ming-Tzu/saved/2tHwzy level 1 The ROG Crosshair VIII is a bit overkill, if you don't plan on doing an hefty per-core Oc or a Timing and speed Oc on the RAM. I would say, the Gigabyte Elite or Pro (x570 of course) are a better option. I don't like Asus at all, and TUF Is their cheap lineup, so... level 1 I have a very similar build to yours. I went with a ASUS Prime X570-PRO MB. Fits my needs. According to the tests I found the Prime X570-PRO is better than the TUF one. Just as an alternative. level 1 The ROG is overkill, the TUF on the lower end. It will work, some middle ground might be wiser though like the Asus Prime X570-A / Strix-F if you like Asus, or the Gigabyte Aorus Pro. level 1 I went for the Asus ROG x570-f gaming. I too have the 3900X with an older Asus 1070ti. Works really well for me, I do lightroom, photoshop and gaming so a very good all rounder. Just ensure you update to latest Bios on Asus as there is a July 2020 update. Exporting photos on lightroom with a 3900x.. 🙌⚡⚡ level 1 By all accounts you shouldn't get an X570 board at all. 1 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 2 DP 3 HDMI 4 4 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 5 Intel® LAN 6 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 7 8-CH Audio 8 PCI Express 4.0 9 Crystal Sound 3
