— Stephenie Meyer Show
This inspirational quote reminds us of a very valuable life lesson, which we should never forget. Seeing only the dark side in people, and life is not the right thing to do. It is either the other way round, we must always see the good in everything bad. In this case the dark is the bad, and the stars, the good we ought to see. There is no better comparison to illustrate the message this saying conveys.
“If the whole universe has no meaning, we should never have found out that it has no meaning: just as, if there were no light in the universe and therefore no creatures with eyes, we should never know it was dark. Dark would be without meaning.” C. S. Lewis, Mere Christianity

Sine tenebris stellas numquam videamus. Wait for confirmation, though, please. Hm, the difference between mine and your versions is that I'm saying "Without the dark we'd never (now) see the stars", i.e. if it were the case now that there wasn't any darkness, the current state of things would be that we'd never
see the stars; while you're saying "Without darkness we'd never (perhaps in the future) see the stars", i.e. if it should be the case at some point in the future that there wasn't any darkness anymore, then we'd never see the stars. My first impression was that the first interpretation was more likely, but in theory both are possible. CallainaFeles Curiosissima

My goodness, you guys are absolutely amazing! Thank you so much! Is there any chance someone could break it down for me? Like which word means what? I'm going to try to learn some Latin, but I guess I should start with what I'm planning to get inked onto me! Pacificagrammaticissima
