Windows 10 turn off Bluetooth sleep

I posted a while back because I was having an issue with my overclocking being turned off when my laptop sleeps, apparently there was no good fix for this other than turning off the sleep setting or restarting my laptop each time it goes to sleep. Now I just realized (after purchasing the SteelSeries XL bluetooth controller and turning on my bluetooth for the first time) that when Windows 10 puts my 2016 M17 R3 to sleep it also messes up my bluetooth, turning it off. The icon disappears from the notification tray, from the "settings" menu and from the control panel. It stays off until I reboot the laptop by shutting it down completely then restarting it.

I plan on calling Alienware tech support in the morning but in the past they have been consistently useless in matters like this so I imagine I will be wasting my time. Does anyone have any advice or has anyone heard anything about this issue? It seems like it would be fairly common. I am wondering if my bios is different because I have the overclock feature? My 2016 M15 R2 goes to sleep and there are no issues with the bluetooth, it does NOT have the 4.1 ghz processor with the overclock feature, however. It has the 3.5 ghz i7.

2. Bluetooth will not connect when the PC wakes up from sleep on Windows 10.

   You mentioned that Bluetooth isn't working only if the computer have just been activated after sleep. To further isolate the issue, we suggest that you turn off hibernation. Follow this step by step instructions:

   • Right click on the Start Menu button, and choose Command Prompt (Admin)
   • Enter the following line: powercfg /h off
   • Press Enter.

   I suggest you to follow the methods below and check if it helps.

   Method 1

   I suggest you to run Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter. Follow these steps to run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter:

   • Press Windows key + X and select Control Panel.
   • Select Troubleshooting.
   • Select View all on the top left corner.
   • Click Hardware and Devices.
   • Follow the on-screen instruction to run the troubleshooter.

   Method 2

   Start the Bluetooth service.

   • Click Start, type “services.msc” and hit
     enter.
   • From the list of items, double click Bluetooth Support Service.
   • Change the startup type to Automatic and click
     Start button to start service.
   • Click Apply and then click ok.

   Method 3

   I suggest you to try disabling and then enabling and check if the Bluetooth toggle is available. Refer the steps below:

   • Press Windows key + X.
   • Click on Device Manager.
   • Look for Bluetooth device from the list.
   • Right click on the device and click on Disable.
   • Right click on the device and click on Enable.
   • Restart the computer.
   • Check if issue persists.

   Method 4: Update the Bluetooth driver

   I suggest you to try updating the Bluetooth drivers check if it works for you.

   Follow the steps to update the Bluetooth driver:

   • Press Windows key + X.
   • Click on Device Manager.
   • Expand “Bluetooth”.
   • Right-click on the Bluetooth listed and click on ‘Update Driver Software’.
   • Select the option to automatically search for the updated driver software.
   • Restart the computer after its updated and verify.

   Also try to access the computer manufacturer's website and download the latest Bluetooth drivers & Chipset drivers for your computer and install the same.
