I posted a while back because I was having an issue with my overclocking being turned off when my laptop sleeps, apparently there was no good fix for this other than turning off the sleep setting or restarting my laptop each time it goes to sleep. Now I just realized (after purchasing the SteelSeries XL bluetooth controller and turning on my bluetooth for the first time) that when Windows 10 puts my 2016 M17 R3 to sleep it also messes up my bluetooth, turning it off. The icon disappears from the notification tray, from the "settings" menu and from the control panel. It stays off until I reboot the laptop by shutting it down completely then restarting it. Show
I plan on calling Alienware tech support in the morning but in the past they have been consistently useless in matters like this so I imagine I will be wasting my time. Does anyone have any advice or has anyone heard anything about this issue? It seems like it would be fairly common. I am wondering if my bios is different because I have the overclock feature? My 2016 M15 R2 goes to sleep and there are no issues with the bluetooth, it does NOT have the 4.1 ghz processor with the overclock feature, however. It has the 3.5 ghz i7. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
