Greases near useless? So in Dark Souls 3, applying correct resin was making quite a severe change in damage you do to an enemy, but in Elden ring - the effect seems to be completely negligible even with you apply grease corresponding to boss weakness. I've tested (on some minor boss, looked up on wiki for weaknesses - tested that grease, few other greases vs no grease at all - and seriously differences were negligible to a point I actually stopped bothering with them completely and basically have beat absolute majority of boss encounters without ever using them. Is it just some placebo effect, or indeed greases suck in comparison to resins in DS3? Date Posted: 24 Mar @ 3:40pm Posts: 25 You're browsing the GameFAQs Message Boards as a guest. Why can't I use Dragonwound grease? The only kinds of weapons that you can buff with Dragonwound Grease are those with a physical affinity. As such, you can only use Dragonwound Grease on standard, heavy, keen, and quality armaments. If you possess a weapon with a different affinity, you won't be able to apply Dragonwoud Grease to it.
