Jimbo Jr. (JJ) is one of the main characters and field team members on The Boss Baby: Back in the Crib.

JJ is voiced by starring cast member Alex Cazares who also voices Staci in The Boss Baby: Back in Business.

Appearance

JJ is a girl with dark brown eyes and light skin. She has a muscly build like Jimbo when he was a baby. Her black ponytail is similar to Staci’s hair, but instead of three pink beads, she has one pink bead, one green bead, and one blue bead. She has short bang-like hair in the front pulled to the sides. She wears a pink t-shirt with a denim overall dress. Her outfit has a rainbow printed on the front and buttons on the straps.

Personality

Unlike her mother, JJ has a very nice and friendly personality. She has displayed many times her care and respect for everyone. She is always loyal to Baby Corp and her team. She always has a can-do attitude like her boss, Tina Templeton taught her.

History

JJ was first introduced is Season 1, Episode 1 of The Boss Baby: Back in The Crib. She was shown to be a member of the Tina’s field team. She was asked by Baby Corp to join the team because of the family relations (Jimbo and Staci). She worked hard and became a real asset to the team, and helped take down The Uncuddleables before joining them and getting fired.

The Boss Baby: Back in the Crib is an American computer-animated comedy streaming television series produced by DreamWorks Animation. While Back in Business was a follow up to the 2017 film, the series serves as a follow-up to the 2021 film The Boss Baby: Family Business, loosely based on the books by Marla Frazee.

Summary[edit]

Taking place after the events of the second film, Theodore Templeton is forced to revert to his old Boss Baby self after being framed for embezzlement. Crashing with his older brother Tim and his two nieces, brainy big kid Tabitha and fellow Baby Corp employee Tina, he'll have to co-lead Tina's new Field Team fighting to increase Baby Love while keeping a new group of arch-nemeses, The Uncuddleables, from destroying Baby Corp itself.[1][2]

Inspiration for the series happens when creator Brandon Sawyer watched a rough cut of The Boss Baby: Family Business by McGrath and McCullers.[3]

Animation for the series was provided by Techoloicolor Animation Productions and Toiion (who have done work for Spirit Riding Free).

The series premiered on Netflix on May 19, 2022.[4][5]

Reception[edit]

Common Sense Media gives it a 2 out of 5 stars for too much dark sarcasm, consumerism in unpleasant series.[6]
