What We Do in the Shadows has always excelled in leveraging its unique blend of absurdist comedy and emotional payoff, and Season 4 is no different.

Bloody Disgusting

What We Do in the Shadows frequently feels effortless and comfortable in its own skin, but this shouldn’t be confused with ambivalence. In many ways, season four comes across as the strongest and most focused year (yet).

Collider

What We Do in the Shadows hasn't only hit its best and most comedic stride yet; like the vampires it's centred around, this series is damn near immortal, and television is all the better for it.

Where to watch What We Do in the Shadows season 4

The vampire roommates in Staten Island are back with the new season of FX’s comedy-horror series created by Jemaine Clement. As per usual, Nandor, Laszlo, and Nadja, alongside their human familiar Guillermo, deliver comical gags and outrageous antics as they face the dilemma of raising the baby Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch) in What We Do in the Shadows Season 4.

Excited for the new season of the ever-hilarious show? Here’s how you can watch new episodes in Australia.

What’s in this Guide?

What We Do in the Shadows Season 4 preview

The fourth season of What We Do in The Shadows is still set primarily in Staten Island. It follows the lives of three traditional vampires, Nandor, Laszlo, and Nadja; Colin Robinson, an energy vampire; and Guillermo, Nandor’s familiar. Specifically, it revolves around vampires interacting with the modern world (including some of their failed attempts) and other supernatural beings.

In What We Do in The Shadow’s third season, fans saw Nandor’s existential crisis and the death and rebirth of the energy vampire Colin Robinson, who’s now back as an infant. Season 4 then follows Laszlo and the challenges he’ll face to raise Baby Colin and try to make him not boring anymore, unlike his adult counterpart.

But even as a baby, he can still be one of those energy vampires, senselessly draining both humans and vampires of their energy. However, Lazslo makes it his mission to make baby Colin “the most interesting man in the world”. Mark Proksch will still be returning to the show as the baby Colin, his scenes to be done separately on a green screen.

The others have also found something to pre-occupy themselves with – Nadja with her new club, Nandor with his attempt to find love, and Guillermo, who, like most human beings existing, is just trying to keep it together.

What We Do in The Shadows has been critically acclaimed for its cast and writing, having received 17 Emmy nominations, including the Outstanding Comedy Series in 2020 and 2022.
