Happy Child

Verified purchase

I am very happy that this product did get here according to the delivery time Amazon gave us. My son is high functioning Autistic and he is really into Anime and he was worried his movie would be late but instead it got here first thing this morning so it was waiting for him when he opened his eyes. The look of happiness was wonderful and we had to watch it before even eating breakfast.

Thank You Amazon for doing you job efficiently.

Boruto, the next generation

Verified purchase

Out of shear curiosity after an epic 15 year series by Kishimoto sensei, I was interested in this movie. I was reluctant as I didn't think one could come up with a follow up to match, I was totally wrong! This movie brought out the growth of the age as it has modernized and the children of the main families that were in Naruto Shippuden. What a great plot and a feel of natural continuity of the ended series, perhaps thanks to seeing Naruto and Sasuke as great leaders who had brought peace to the constant tensions between the ninja villages of their feudal domains. The children are not mere copies of their parents, but show the inherited powers they are trying to master. Not just that, but the modernization we should expect to see and did as it was portrayed thoughtfully and carefully. To be honest, I did not expect so much as Kishimoto sensei has passed the main work to his assistants and act more as a reviewer and idea source, to what I understand, but great job and great entertainment!!

Best Film in the Franchise!!!

Verified purchase

The Boruto movie perfectly mashed together great storytelling with awesome action that surpasses all of its predecessors. This is the only film in the franchise with Naruto as Hokage set in the near future focusing on his gifted yet apathetic son. Unlike his father, Boruto doesn't care about understanding what it means to be a shinobi , only how to defeat his father and gain his attention. To achieve this, Boruto enlists the help of Sasuke, who has just returned from Kaguyas dimension with troubling news of a powerful new enemy. With the chunin on exams underway, Boruto trains to learn the Rasengan and uses an unconventional new ninja tool to move up in the exams. Just when things seem to look up, the enemy arrives and kidnaps Naruto! Boruto will have to understand not only what it means to be a ninja, but how his father was a child to defeat this foe. What are you waiting for?! This is the film to get!!!!

Not for USA DVD players

Verified purchase

As stated above, this version is NOT for a USA DVD player. You need a DVD player that is internationally compatible. The translations are better than the ones VIZ does for the US for some odd reason which is why we tend to purchase the overseas ones. Not my favorite Naruto movie, however it was nice to finally be introduced to his son. I have two gripes. One you don't get much Naruto/Kurama/Sauske action although you do get some and that's also pretty standard for the movies. The other gripe I have is that Boruto already seems like he can surpass his dad without really putting much effort into it (although they try to say that he did train at certain points and such) and that makes it a little hard to watch since who wants to see a character who's remarkable from the get-go?

Not exactly as pictured

Verified purchase

It didn’t come with the sleeve for the movie which isn’t a huge deal to some but it was pictured so I was expecting it to have it. The case is kind of messed up which you can’t tell in the picture. Both of the discs were really dirty which I’m not sure how since it was sealed unless whoever sold it resealed it to ship it out. I originally though they were both scratched until I wiped it with my finger.
