When to watch cowboy Bebop movie Reddit

I thought it took place after Brain Scratch? Hm. To me, it was just taking place as late as could make sense, which is before "Hark Luck Woman", considering nothing happens in Brain Scratch that changes the final events of the show. I think the real point is that it doesn't matter; it's simply another episode in the adventures of the Bebop crew. But I agree; It's best after you finish the show. That's when fans saw it, that's the order it came out. Although the movie is amazing in itself, the nostalgic value of the film makes it that much better.

As some already mentioned, it depends really on what kind of note you want to end the series.

If you want the whole series to end with the last episode, no matter in which mood it leaves you -> go watch the movie after episode 22.

If you want to have exactly the same awesome vibe you got from the series til now after you watched the series, definetly watch it afterwards.

For me (without spoiling anything), the Ending of the Series had a deep emotional impact on me and a few weeks later I watched the movie and was so happy with it!

Do you have a source for this claim? There are two very distinct things that place it between 22 and 23, however, I still think it should be watched after the series. It was produced after the series and the difference in budget is clear by the quality of the art and animation, not to mention it scratches the itch left by the end of the series.

Depends on what the viewer wants really. I always thought the movie is a nice cherry on top after the series, since it came out later and seeing the crew back together after the series ends is nice.

Since the ending of Cowboy Bebop is deliberately ambiguous, there was no room for a movie after the events of episode 23 began, so putting it before episode 23 was necessary and the simplest choice is between 22 and 23

I like watching it inline, as others have said. But...when you finish the series for the first time, if you save the movie (which has no effect on the outcome of the series) for last you'll get to jump back into Bebop for another short ride, while you come to grips with the end.

I would say between episodes 22 and 23. I showed the series to some friends for the first time last year and I showed them the movie between those episodes and I think that worked really well for the ending for them. But it probably doesn’t matter tooo much. But episode 26 has a better sense of “finality” than the movie, plus I actually think the movie leads into the final few episodes really well in tone.
