The 2021 ESSENCE + GU Entrepreneur Summit, The Bossed Up Edition presented by Coca-Cola is just around the corner! This year, we’ve tapped one of your faves to help bring this very special virtual experience to life.

If you’ve tuned in to any season of the Love & Marriage Huntsville reality series, then you already know that Melody Holt is a woman about her business. In addition to her role as a starring cast member and producer of the series, Melody is a seasoned entrepreneur and businesswoman. To date, she is the mastermind behind the MBrace Beauty Brand, the Holt Preservation Academy and the forthcoming Seventh Avenue Skincare line. In 2020, she launched her latest venture, Masterclass With Melody, which she describes as “a five-week training course that teaches participants how to launch and build their very own property preservation business.”

Businesswoman, artist and mother of four Melody Holt introduced her family and husband, Martell Holt, to the world on ‘Love & Marriage: Huntsville’ in 2019. After three years and various jaw dropping reality television moments, Melody is single and getting to the bag! The former Mrs. Holt definitely keeps it cute on social media as it pertains to her ex, but y’all know we had to get the tea after news broke that Martell was dating an RHOA OG!

Melody, who now goes by Melody Shari, stepped into The Shade Room to spill the tea on err-ything that’s been going on since her divorce filing–including Martell Holt’s new relationship with Sheree Whitfield. As we previously reported, Shereé confirmed that the two are seeing each other in an interview with TMZ, but Melody seems be taking a page out of Omarion’s book of being unbothered.

When asked about how she feels about Martell moving on with the Georgia peach, Melody Holt tells TSR she doesn’t feel any type of way!

To be honest with you, I don’t really have any feelings about it. I really don’t. I didn’t control if he was talking, or dating anybody while he was in the marriage, I damn sure ain’t gonna be able to control if he’s dating somebody out the marriage. So, you know, I don’t feel anything. I really don’t.”

As for any ill feelings toward Sheree, Melody says there are none.

I don’t know anything negative about her, so I don’t have anything negative to say. Like, I really don’t…It doesn’t concern me forreal.”

Since the news broke, social media users have been trying to debunk the motive behind Martell and Sheree’s new boo’d up status, with many fans hypothesizing that Melody and Martell may be trying to secure spots on ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta.’

Tune in to Melody’s response to those rumors in the full interview on our YouTube channel!

Melody Holt was born on November 11, 1985, in Brundidge, Alabama, United States, and raised by her African-American mother, Vanessa Rodgers Tracy. Her parents never married, and she did not speak to her father till she was a teenager. She graduated from Alabama A.&.M. University with a B.S. in English Language Arts.

After graduating, Holt worked as an English teacher at a middle school, where she met her future husband, Martell Holt, and in early 2007, they began dating. A year later, on July 20, 2008, she married him, thus taking his name. Eventually, they both quit their jobs and started a lawn care business, and within seven years, they transformed their idea into a multi-million dollar Holt & Holt Entrepreneurship. They expanded their services to home restoration, cleaning, and expansion. They have four children together, a son Martell, and three daughters, Maliah, Malani, and Mariah. The Holts co-authored a book, “The 9-5 Entrepreneur: Twelve questions to consider before taking the leap,” which includes advice and strategies they employed to turn their small business into a family empire.

In 2019, they starred on the OWN show “Love & Marriage: Hunstville” along with two other couples, Marsau and LaTisha Scott and Maurice and Kimmi Scott. Early in 2022, Holt released a line of five lipstick shades called Seventh Avenue Beauty in collaboration with Posner cosmetics.
