I don't have a "Favorite Movie Hair" Pinterest board, but if I did, it would probably include photos of Julia Roberts in My Best Friend's Wedding, Anne Bancroft in The Graduate, and, of course, Nicole Kidman in Practical Magic. Even though the hair on her on-screen sister, Sandra Bullock, was both nothing to sneeze at and far more attainable for me as a brunette, I have always adored Kidman's long, red layers in that eternally-watchable 1998 film. But although she has naturally red hair in real life, the award-winning actor has spent most of the 21st century with blonde hair. So it was especially exciting to see that she's bringing back the ginger for a new project.

Kidman was spotted on New York City's Upper East Side filming a scene for The Undoing, an upcoming HBO miniseries based on the Jean Hanff Korelitz novel You Should Have Known in which she plays a therapist whose life begins to dramatically unravel. Despite the crises her character experiences, her hair clearly rises above the adversity because it looks absolutely stunning.

For the first time in years, Kidman has long, fiery, orangey-red hair. Not strawberry blonde like she sometimes sports — legit ginger. And it's not only closer to her natural color, it's also a lot like her natural texture. While not as curly as it was in her 20s, Kidman's hair is styled in awe-inspiring loose curls. Even her eyebrows have been tinted a light auburn shade to bring the look together.

It's unclear whether Kidman is wearing a wig or if she dyed her hair for the role; she was seen only a month ago with the light-blonde hair she seems to usually gravitate toward. But if I get a vote — and let's be honest, I don't — I hope she holds onto the red for a while. And I'm not alone — when Kidman posted a photo from the set to Instagram, fans fawned over her hairstyle. "You look even more beautiful with this hair, if this is possible," one commenter wrote, while another exclaimed, "AHHHH LOVE THE HAIR!"

Clearly, I'm not the only one who's been missing that old-school Gillian Owens look.
