Warzone searching for a match

Quick question, anybody here still playing this game? And if so are you able to find local lobbies?

I can play Rebirth at 30 ping, plunder at 30 ping, but as soon as you go to Vanguard Royal or Normal BR its only international lobbies at 200 ping?

I play about 3 times per week, whenever I get a chance really.

For some reason, it seems that SA gamers don't seem to like BR as much as Rebirth and Plunder. I love playing BR, but the closest match I find is normally like 175ms ping or 200ms ping. I assume this must be due to us then linking to EU lobbies or something?

Good point.. Surely it cant just be one or two players that want to play BR. I enjoy the game, pretty much the only one I am playing at the moment, and would like there to be more local BR lobbies.

Rebirth is really annoying for me. It's madness and campers everywhere. It's frustrating.

Probably SBMM to blame, can't find enough players within your given Elo on local servers.

Yip, the reason why there was such a huge backlash when SBMM was implemented. Also makes every game in normal multiplayer feel like CDL finals.

Our player base is too small to fill a server of 150. We have a multitude of game modes and people are sticking to Plunder and Rebirth. When the game first came out, and when Caldera launched, you could find local lobbies easily.

I also think this is the case. In the beginning of Caldera you could easily find a local lobby for about 1-2 weeks when everyone was curious to check it out. After that everyone jumped back into Plunder and Rebirth.

I just think SA gamers are not too fond of the way BR plays. Possibly more into respawning mulitplayer games than trying to get good at a mode where you actually have to play tactically and try stay alive.

Anyway, I stopped playing Warzone BR for 3 reasons. Ever since Caldera my game runs like dog crap on a decent rig, I dont have anyone to play with anymore and Caldera is a terrible map.

Yep, and the Caldera BR in general doesn't seem to be as popular as the other modes abroad either. I miss Verdansk

Haven’t played WZ (any BR variant for ages) but have been spamming Clash all weekend to level up all my remaining Vanguard guns for the Atomic grind. Drop in, spam the Bounty contracts (your team gets credit no matter who in the game gets the kill), and it’s around 1K XP per, and increases slightly for every additional contract after.

There’s also a “bug” now where 2XP tokens stack, so instead of getting 2x you’re getting 4x. I levelled all snipers from 0-70 in a couple of hours using two tokens. Note this ONLY works in WZ, not in MP.

Playing regular BR or Rebirth? Most Saffers seem to prefer the latter.

Just not enough players on normal BR. It's a shame. South Africans appear to prefer Rebirth because they are just bad at the game I like to come back immediately after dying.

It would seem that we are only able to find Plunder and Rebirth Island servers here. I can only join Battle Royale servers if I allow the searching to exceed 150ms ping. Clearly not enough players wanting to play BR in SA for some reason! I find it to be quite entertaining.

BR requires some thought, unlike plunder.

I get so ashamed when I see gamers bragging about their kill count in plunder just go play Team Deathmatch if you looking for that kind of experience.

I'm totally garbage at the game and playing on ps4 doesn't really help, plunder is more team friendly as we normally 3 playing.

Yeah I can't agree more.. I've been playing the game since 2020, but I'm nowhere near as good as other guys ..

If you're looking for toxic gaming experiences, try CoD Modern Warfare. The okes on there get seriously angry and butt-hurt at the same time. Sometimes fun just to join these lobbies to get a kick out of them lol.
