Delivery change options for receivers, before a delivery attemptWhen you track a package before the first delivery attempt, UPS My Choice® members see options to change delivery for eligible shipments. Options include redirecting your package to another address, rescheduling the delivery date or collecting your package from a UPS customer centre or from a UPS Access Point™ location, where available. Show
Not all shipments are eligible for a delivery change. For example, if you purchase prescription medication, perishable items or high-value merchandise, the sender may decide to deliver only to your address or require your signature. UPS My Choice members can change the package delivery to any address, including UPS customer centres or UPS Access Point locations, for free. Please note that changing the delivery address of your package could delay your scheduled delivery date. In addition, transportation fees may apply to certain packages. If you know that you’ll be away from home for a few days, you can also use UPS My Choice to request we hold all deliveries until your return. You can choose to collect them from a nearby location or have us deliver them once you’re back in town. Request a Delivery Hold The complexity of the change and timing of the request will determine if there will be any delivery delay. Furthermore, if it is identified that the address given is incorrect and not
deliverable, you can correct it while tracking the package on ups.com. Track a Package Sign up for UPS My Choice If it’s more convenient, you can also have your package delivered to another address. All of these arrangements can be made from UPS My Choice delivery notifications or your Delivery Planner. Depending on the final location, transportation fees may apply. Manage Your Preferences Delivery change options for receivers, after a delivery attemptIf you missed a UPS delivery, you received a UPS InfoNotice™ letting you know that your driver wasn't able to deliver your package. Use that notice to tell the driver what you want to do with your package. After you update the UPS InfoNotice, place it back in the same location where the driver originally left it. This does not apply to 'Adult signature required' deliveries. An adult must sign for these packages at the time of delivery. You can use your UPS InfoNotice number online to request a hold on eligible packages. Yes. If you have received a UPS InfoNotice® after a delivery attempt was made, you can request that UPS deliver your shipment to another address. Posted by3 years ago Archived I checked the tracking history and the package is currently out for delivery in Ft.Worth when the address it is supposed to be shipped to is in Dallas. Do I need to wait until it is delivered to the wrong address to do anything about it or can UPS fix it if I call them now ? This thread is archived New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast level 1 Isn't fort Worth and Dallas close to each other? It's more than possible for it to be dispatched from a forth worth building for a Dallas address level 2 It shows an arrival scan in Dallas, a departure scan from Dallas, an arrival scan in ft worth and then it shows out for delivery. The address is also on the northeast side of the Dallas area so it would be at least 1-1.5 hours away from Fort Worth level 1 This is happening to me right at this moment smh this never happened to me before ordered some fishing supplies wanted to fish by the 1st week of next month Why does my UPS package say out for delivery in another city?If the tracking information says “Out for delivery”, it means your package was scanned that morning and 'directed' to be placed on the delivery truck for your neighborhood.
What happens if UPS delivers my package to the wrong location?Who To Call If Your Package Is Not Found. If you need to call the UPS to try and recover your package, one way to go about it is calling them at 1800 P-I-C-K U-P-S. Once you get the machine to answer the phone, press 0 a few times in order to be connected to the operator.
Why did my package go to a different location? It could be that the package was sent to a sorting facility in order to be processed. Let's say there was a huge Amazon order from your area that all came from the shipment facility. Then USPS might pick up the packages to then be brought to a sorting facility.
Can you call UPS to reroute a package? With UPS Delivery Intercept®, you can request that we cancel or reroute a shipment you've sent, prior to delivery, with one of our four options.
