Is there a save-game editor for this game?

I bluescreened last summer and my save got corrupted.
Lost my character which I had since launch day, which is unfortunate.

Been dreading to start a fresh one so I was wondering if there's a way to give a new character my old stuff? At least decide what do add. I don't want to download one that is maxed out.

If not I'll start fresh again.

Was steam cloud saving not enabled?
If not and you have a friend who plays, they can send you their save file and you can replace everything in your save directory.
You will be whatever level they are, with their unlocks etc.

In future you're best to have cloud saving enabled so if it corrupts on your pc then you might be able to use the cloud save to get back to where you were.

Thanks. I had steam cloud enabled but I've checked it several times and nada.
I don't really mind starting fresh though, just needed a years break to get in the mood again :-D

cloud save deleted my game 4 times then it crash. manualy back up work just fine for me. and why u want someone else save? u gonna loose all your lodge trophies

Because if you lose everything and have no back up maybe a friends save is a better option than starting from scratch??

The game saves the progress automatically every few seconds, there is no need and no way to manually save the progress. Also, there is no in game way to recover an old status. Optionally you can activate Steam Cloud Sync which synchronises save game files after terminating the app.

How do I use Control save editor?

Instructions:.

Backup your old savegame..

Start a New Game from the main menu..

Once the initial cutscene has played and the game has been saved, exit the game..

Go to your savegame folder and load the freshly created persistent savefile into the save editor..

What does save editor do?

The save editor will automatically backup your save files, so you don't need to worry about tinkering with specific settings too much if you want to go back to what you had previously. If you haven't already got it, you may need to install a version of java script to run the save editor.
