Pros: "The plane and flight was fine, as was the crew on board. The crew within the Salt Lake airport could have been better. Not sure if it was the gentlemans first time but overall he and the woman working the boarding were very slow and could have been more efficient. We boarded late (may be out of their control) but when we started boarding there was too much wasted time between calling up the military/people with longer boarding needs/wheelchairs etc. They waited until they were completely boarded and settled prior to calling the next group then spent time fiddling with the sign that splits the boarding lanes etc. Just appeared that there was no sense of efficiency. Polite people though."

Pros: "Our plane had mechanical issue with a parking brake which they left us know about once we loaded the plane. Unfortunately it was going to take to long so they switched us to another plane."

Cons: "Airlines in general need to enforce the carry on luggage rules. If it doesn't match the dimensions for the carry on specks then make the people Check it. Don't let it go. If I paid for a seat and I'm allowed two carry ons then there should be room for them. Don't ask people to check bags because of a full plane. The crew should have there own place to store their belongings, not where the passengers do and take their space. The life rafts need to be easy to get to but again should take up a spot a passenger has paid for their luggage to go. If that is the only space for these items then don't allow passengers to bring two items if in those seats or on the whole plane. It's really disappointing when your told you may have to check your bag because there's not enough room."

Pros: "I paid only $100 more round trip to DTW from SLC then I would have with other carriers, minus the hassle of connecting flights and paying fees that they don't tell you about up front (like $25 for a carry-on bag, oh and a another $12 per leg for a window seat). My experience, like my previous Delta experiences was absolutely enjoyable. From the quick boarding, super friendly gate agents, and flight crew, to the free on board entertainment, Delta has won me over once again. Oh and did I mention how great it is to board a flight, relax and watch a good movie, take a small nap, and deplane at your destination! Awesome!!"

First landing attempt had to be aborted, the landing not being cleared by the control tower. Then we cruised, circling over the Ocean, and the lights of the city again. Finally we landed. Taxiing on the tarmac was interrupted many times, and took overall 30 minutes. The pilot kept informing us. I was probably not the only passenger that had and urgent need to reach a bathroom... Of course, Delta should not be blamed"

Cons: "I didn’t like the fact that you had to pay for your seat, after you have paid for your ticket. Why do you have to purchase two things? Next the price for taking a bag. It is too over priced to deliver your bags. A carry on is $40, a check in is $40. Why would you charge for a carry on? Other companies give you a free carry on and $25 for a check in. But not frontier you pay $40 just to bring a backpack. Then you have to pay for the drinks and snacks that they ask too much. $3 for a 50 cent snack, sounds great. The chairs are super uncomfortable, basically plastic seats with a sad excuse of a “cushion”. Looks nice all around, but nothing feels nice. Just everything feels so cheap. Then during my flight I try to get convinced to sign up for frontier credit card?! I have never been on a flight that they talk on the loud speaker for over 5 minutes about how great it is to sign up for their credit card. Don’t sell me stuff when I’m stuck. I can’t walk away I have to sit here and listen. All in all, I won’t be flying with this airline again. I will make sure to always go with someone else. Also make sure that no one I know, has this bad of an experience."

With limited ability to handle multiple items and my small kids, the woman at the counter was beyond polite and helped with my bags immediately. I am so grateful for the friendly staff and the extra attention they gave to my kids and I."

That will cost you...$10 per seat minimum, again more at the airport. Btw, those fees only cover one leg of the trip. You can save by leaving your luggage there. See how helpful we are? You think you are getting a good fare but the fees have made my trip almost three times the initial fare. United is testing similar "economy" fares. None of this information is presented upfront so it's a bait and switch scenario. Also, trying to reach a human being is nearly impossible. I feel sorry for the customer service reps, they should get hazard pay. They have to try to justify these ridiculous policies. Save yourself money and frustration and NEVER FLY FRONTIER AIRLINES!!!!!!!"

Pros: "The flights took off and landed on time. Boarding went pretty quickly."

Cons: "The planes were old, made strange noises, no Wi-Fi, TV, or any amenities. Seemed way more cramped than other airlines. Expect to wait in an extremely long line to check in. The first flight, the plane made a very strange noise at the wing till we had been in the air for a long time. The connecting flight, the flight attendant told us that the plane had weight or balance issues, and we were all seated the way we needed to be for the plane to fly properly, so we could not change seats (a portion of the middle of the plane had empty seats). It was extremely uncomfortable, as the seats didn't recline at all, and I'm extremely short, but was cramped up against the seat in front of me. Only one arm rest that was about an inch & a half wide per seat. Also, I think they offered soda, but no snacks. They charge for all baggage, the carry on bag costs $45, while the checked bag is $40 ($80 for 2 checked bags one way), & they have specific "linear" dimensions for the size of the CHECKED bags, or they will charge something like $100 extra. Even though the actual flight was cheap, the price of baggage & feeling so cramped, & scared that the plane wasn't working properly, I wouldn't fly this airline again."

Cons: "I had no idea that a *carry on* costs $30. That's just obscene. My GF and I took a weekend trip to Utah and brought only our backpacks because we didn't want to spend the extra dough. Lame. At Frontier, you don't even get to choose your seats without paying extra money. If you want to guarantee that you can sit in the absolute worst seats on the plane that's gonna cost you an extra $5. Sure hope we get to sit together! Lame. The seats were one step above folding lawn chairs. Lame. When the flight crew refers to the 6 inch by 3 inch "table" as a "barbie tray" that makes it funny, but no less lame. Before this flight I truly had no opinion about which airline I should fly, but now I do have a preference... Literally anyone other than Frontier."

Pros: "The attendants smiled at me on the way on... and that's about it."

Cons: "Although the flight itself was cheaper than competitors initially being charged for every single thing made it more expensive in the end and I felt like they cared more about taking my money than me as a consumer. After all the charges I ended up paying more than flying another airline. They charged for food (even snacks for my kid), seating (it's necessary that my wife and I sit together with a 1 year old), carry-ons (which are ridiculously overpriced), and checked bags (normal for airlines although they charged more than Delta and United). In the end I paid about $50 more than I would have flying DELTA. The plain didn't have wifi so my kid could watch something during the flight, and the seats didn't recline. Further, my son wasn't listed on our boarding passes so they made us wait until everyone else had boarded to get us new boarding passes because there was only 1 attendant. Even after printing new passes they didn't work. The flight was delayed and then, because there was only a single attendant, we were extremely late to our next flight. They were so late that even with a two hour delay we wouldn't have made our connecting flight except that it was our connecting flight."

Pros: "Not much to like other than the cost of the ticket, they kept us unmoving on the runway for almost an hour, before taking off, boarding was at 2:50 pm, flight was supposed to be 3:25 pm, we didn't actually take off till 4:15, scheduled arrival was at 9 pm, and we arrived 9:20, and weren't able to deplane till 9:35, and ended up standing around baggage claim for over thirty mins waiting for our luggage, frontier might have some good ticket prices, but next time I'm willing to pay more, if it means better service"

Pros: "Reasonable fare. Retractable armrests. Flight attendant gave fistbumps. Cylindrical ice cubes-easy to chew. Pilots handled turbulence 'like a boss!'. Aircraft made excellent 'VROOM' noise on take off. Staff loading checked baggage into aircraft waved and smiled at me."

Cons: "Paying $30 for one carry-on bag? Ouch. Snacks were a trite pricey. Flight was ~70 minutes, tushy and lower back was uncomfortable in seat. Lack of magma in lavatory (get it? LAVA-tory?)"

Pros: "The crew was excellent."

Cons: "This is definitely the bottom of the heap when it comes to airlines. They offer a competitive price on a flight, but once booked they nickel and dime you until the price is higher than a better airline. They charge for seat choice on the whole plane, snacks and drinks, carry on and checked luggage, and there is no entertainment. Plus the seats felt like cardboard, and didn't recline. Definitely not a good choice for a red eye, or any flight over an hour long. Actually, no matter how short your flight is, you'll probably be more comfortable taking the bus. Two big thumbs down."

Cons: "While I am thankful that we made it back to the airport after some mechanical issues. I called Frontier and ask them to get me on a different flight that night or first thing the next morning. They would not help me. They kept telling me I had to talk to the agents in the terminal. There were 200 other people standing in line waiting to be helped. They offered no alternative. Wouldn't even book me with another airline to get me to my destination. The best Frontier customer service on the phone would do was changed my flight to Saturday night. Which did not good since I was coming back from my trip on Sunday."

Pros: "I liked the crew, they were very personable and nice."

Cons: "Charging $40 per carry on? Are you kidding me?? We didn't budget for that and almost had to fly with no luggage. For this reason alone we are never taking another flight from Frontier. It's bad enough that Frontier charges for all baggage, but we had no idea when we bought the tickets off Kayak, that it would be an extra $130 for luggage. What a rip off. Then at the airport, the line to get a baggage ticket wasn't that long, but it took almost 45 minutes. Every time we fly Southwest or Delta, it takes only 10 minutes to get our baggage tagged and on our way to security. I was also unpleasantly surprised that even water costs $2. Other airlines give a free drink, but Frontier charges $2. Terrible. And the seats don't recline. In summary for areas to improve: don't charge me for carry on and don't charge me for water."

Cons: "Three hour delay and up charge for everythin. No reclining hard seats. I used them several times in years past and they were great. They have gone down hill since."

Pros: "The cabin crew was friendly enough. Once we were finally in the air the flight was fine. It was a cheap flight and you get what you pay for. I would use them again if their flight was cheap, i certainly wouldn't seek them out or recommend them based on quality, cost is the saving grace for this airline."

Cons: "They made a big deal about flight time from "wheels up to wheels down" being 56 minutes, and then announced that per Frontier policy no drink service was offered for flights less than an hour. We were stuck on the plane for much longer than an hour, it was super hot, and the flight was late, seemed like they could have made a gesture and brought around something cold to drink. The flight was cheap but look close at the fine print, my bag was small enough to be considered a personal bag but had it been much bigger it would have cost me an extra $50."

Cons: "I didn't like how the airline didn't stick to their schedule. I understand that flights get delayed often.gut for a flight to get delayed 3 times is ridiculous. Our flight was supposed to leave at 5:20pm MTD and land on Atlanta before 11pm EST. We were notified about the delay about less than an hour before the flight. It was pushed to 5:50. Then 6:25. The actual flight didn't leave until almost 7:30 pm and landed in Atlanta passed 1am. This caused me south inconvenience. First, I had to take a half day off from work when I could've worked and got paid a full day. Next, the airline wasted hours of my time I can't get back. Time I could've spent with my family that I'm only seeing for a short period of time. By the time we got to the airport, which was way later than expected, the concourse trains were not operating anymore. What should've been a quick ride from concourse D to T turned out to be a 20+ minute walk to get out of the airport. Lastly, I missed my ride after getting of the airport. I was supposed to ride the train (Marta), but due to the delay, I missed the last ride. Not only was I inconvenienced but it trickled down to my family and had to wake up on the wie hours of the morning to pick me up at 2am. Overall, it was a terrible experience."

Cons: "Given the expense of using commercial air for a couple of hours, would it be too much trouble for a company to care about its passengers? Even water was barely offered. I had to make a request. A woman who was claustrophobic had to endure a 4 hour flight in a seat that would have been fine for others, but clearly difficult for her, because crew wouldn't make an effort to find someone who might switch seats with her. Even carry-on luggage is now extra charge? No entertainment and stow tables too tiny for even a personal laptop/notebook. Are the companies cheap because they're broke or did the price of gas go up?? Other people's incomes aren't exactly stellar. Please look at the statistics. These are your primary customers."

Cons: "Due to failure of communication with a mechanical problem, we were forced off the plane after waiting almost an hour to take off. The staff would not say what the problem was but kept pushing the estimated departure time further and further back. After waiting three hours I finally took the initiative to go in line to the desk to find an alternate route, after already missing my connecting flight. The staff redirected me through Chicago instead of Denver as was originally expected, but failed to redirect my luggage. Upon arrival in Minneapolis my luggage was lost. Being understaffed, it took another half an hour for a staff member to show up, but they could not explain what happened to our luggage. Instead of figuring out the problem, they had us fill out an information sheet and told us, "when they find your luggage they will call you". They tried calling a supervisor to help us but after an hour wait on the supervisor I finally left the airport, six and a half hours after originally expected."

Cons: "Delayed 6 hours, not even as much as a pack of peanuts to say "sorry about that". Non-communicative employees, because they couldn't get information. Well meaning ground staff, but corporate rigidity keeps them from doing the right thing."

Broken Wi-Fi, no outlets, misleading info causing unnecessary fees

Seats were not comfortable at all.

Boarding was easy but that was about it. The seats were way too close together. I couldn’t move without bumping into my nieghbors on either side of me or in front of me. The staff were rude and a bit lazy. Every time I had a question or someone around me needed something they would give a snarky comment or find another attendant to do it. The food was expensive and nothing was complimentary including water. And there were no entertainment options except their $20 Wi-Fi. Overall the worst airline experience I’ve had in a long time. 1/10 would never ever recommend

Spirit cancelled the flight and won't refund my money. I've tried 10 times and no luck. They and Kayak are thieves. Be careful doing business with these scum.

Plane was nice, flight attendants seemed like they'd rather be somewhere else. Spirit doesn't offer complimentary snack or drink, very bare bones.

Check in could be better , very pushy & not very good explaining or guiding people to where they should be .

Flight was fine. Attendants were pleasant. We did not have in flight food or entertainment. Plane was clean and well prepared even with a quick turnaround.

Cons: "Customer in front of me was visibly super ill, coughing and wheezing the entire flight. I don't think he should have been allowed to fly, especially during a pandemic! No organization by staff for customers exiting the aircraft at all, everyone just rushed to the front."

Cons: "I’ve been in uncomfortable seats before on other airlines. However I’ve never been in seats that didn’t recline at least a small degree. When they say Budget airline, they mean it. The plane literally felt like it was going to fall apart on takeoff and landing. Rattling from multiple Compartments and the worst whining of the engine I’ve ever heard. It was a bit unsettling as well as unnecessary. If the mechanics can’t quiet things down and tighten the compartments to stop things from making that much racket then Spirit needs to take the plane out of commission. Not a smooth quiet flight for sure. It would be hard to recommend Spirit airlines to anyone."

When the flight attendant moved the family on the other side of the aisle to a row with a window, my son and I got up to move into their seats, so we could give the poor guy in the corner (without a window) more room. She said no, because “we have to keep the last row open for emergencies”. Really? Then why was it booked to begin with? Tiny seats, flight attendants who don’t understand service, and not so much as a free drink of water after giving up our water at security. I’m not impressed."

And due to error with check in at flight home, I was bumped to flight five hour later. Despite the fact I made it to gate and there was room on plane. Just listless employees who really don't care. Corporate greed. Make travel the worst."

When they announced boarding issues and something about plane being smaller, we couldn't hear or understand what they were saying so we had to go ask them at the gate counter. A lot of laughing and non caring behavior when loading us on plane. The female flight attendant was laughing and yelling down the aisle like she was at a crowded party and she was so loud on the plane intercom system that it annoyed the whole plane and couldn't understand what she said because so loud. We had to spend xtra money on over priced refreshments because of long wait. Awful experience and first time I traveled Spirit in about 10 yrs. Jennie"
