Brass Against singer Sophia Urista has apologised after a video of her urinating on a willing fan while performing onstage went viral this week.

The NSFW antics happened while the band were performing at Florida’s Welcome To Rockville festival over the weekend. Footage of Urista urinating on the face of a male fan while performing a cover of Rage Against The Machine’s ‘Wake Up’ soon spread across the internet.

The band later apologised for the events, claiming Urista “got carried away” and that “it’s not something you’ll see again at our shows”.

It was then revealed that the Daytona Beach Police are investigating the incident, as it may have broken indecent exposure laws.

Sharing her own apology on social media, Urista said: “Hey everyone. I want to speak to my performance at Rockville metal festival in Daytona. I have always pushed the limits in music and on stage. That night, I pushed the limits too far.”

She added: I love my family, the band, and the fans more than anything and I know that some were hurt or offended by what I did. I apologise to them and want them to know that I didn’t mean to hurt them.

“I am not a shock artist. I always want to put the music first. I’m grateful for all of your continued love and support.”

The group’s covers of Tool’s ‘The Pot’ and ‘Lateralus’ had caught the attention of the metal band, who have since invited them to open their shows.

“This is so fun to write…” posted Brass Against online. ”We are the special guests on Tool’s European tour in the spring!!”

Metal Sludge — Fan appreciation is an under statement when it comes to what took place last night at a Brass Against show… or was this assault and battery?

Well that depends on who that fan is, their taste in music, or taste in the artist’s work… no pun intended.

Brass Against featuring female singer Sophia Urista took to the stage last night at their ‘Welcome To Rockville‘ show, and during their final number Urista urinated in a man’s mouth live on stage.

Urista, 35, is mostly known from her appearance on The Voice (Season 11) back in 2016 and has been fronting Brass Against since it formed in 2017.

Now a live video has hit social media this morning of the band performing the Rage Against The Machine song “Wake Up” last night in Daytona Beach Florida.

Urista is on stage with the band, and at about the .25 second mark announces to the crowd: “This is how we’re going to close the show, (pointing to a male fan near the front of the stage) get my man with the camera on his head ready, because we’re going to bring him on stage, and I am going to piss in this mother-fucker’s mouth.”

The crowd cheers her on as she continues: “I gotta pee, and I can’t make it to the bathroom” as she puts her hand near her private parts.

The band then kicks into the track, and Urista does her vocal performance as usual.

Then at roughly the 3:00 mark, Urista is commanding the stage as the fan crawls up onto the stage.

As the crowd cheers, the band ramps up the intensity of their sound as Urista pushes the man onto his back, which is followed by her starting to unbutton her pants, lower them and squats over his face.

As she bends over with pants dropped to her knees, Urista is singing “Who wants to piss on his head?” and repeats the phrase multiple times.

While singing and squatting, Urista begins to urinate into the man’s mouth, all over his face and upper torso for roughly 15-20 seconds as he lays on his back.

When done Urista tells the man: “Get the fuck out of here. Get the fuck out of here, you’re done” as she motions to the man to get off the stage.

Her final act towards the male fan is kicking him as he has his back towards the band as he climbs off the front of the stage.

But before leaving the stage, the fan picks up a hand full of her urine, from a puddle on the stage and throws it into the crowd.

The band finishes out their set as Urista struts around the stage screaming into the mic “Wake Up, Wake Up, Wake Up, Wake Up, Wake!”
