I was kinda iffy because this was the first camellia oil product I purchased. I did this one and the NO.1 brand. It's in Japanese so I don't know the name. Both are great. Like seriously I love this oil more than any oil I've ever tried. I use it on my face and hair. I've used coconut oil, jojoba(which is a wax, I know) Shea butter oil, Aragon oil, boaba(spellcheck this one. Lol), carrot oil, olive oil, etc. I've tried a lot. I forgot what I was saying or the point I was making. Anyways I love it. I'm African American. I love this for my hair. Doesn't break me out like the other oils. ALL THE OTHER oils. Wait. Except argan and the boaba which I actually really like those a lot but they aren't as light as is one but I really really like those. Ok. I highly recommend this product. I've only tried two brands but both are great. I love them both. But this one makes my hair stink. It has a weird smell. I don't have that same problem with the Oshima.

Update 12-28-2012. The other brand is Oshima and I actually like that one better. Both of these brands are good but and both say 100%, but the Oshima has a better texture and makes my hair and skin feel better and absorbs betters. Maybe it's the way it's processed that makes a difference. I'm not sure but the Oshima would be my number 1 recommendation for Camellia Oil.

  Fast absorbing and luxurious in texture. Terrific for home made hair smoothing serums but also fantastic for all skin types. It has the richness of olive oil (without the heaviness) and lightweight like grapeseed oil (only with the better shelf life).

  I absolutely love this oil. My skin is very sensitive and highly reactive so I don't tolerate many skincare products well. I also have acne and lots of natural oils clog my pores but this camellia oil has been amazing. I use it when my skin is getting tight, dry, wrinkly or breaking out. It has a nice, light consistency, really hydrates and is easy to rub it. Super friendly with rosacea prone skin too. Thank you!

  A lovely oil. I use it as a cleanser. Massage lightly and rinse off with warm water, or use a facecloth. Leaves skin cleansed and very soft.

Created in a 100-year old family-owned camellia oil factory in Japan, Chidoriya's pure Japanese camellia oil is extracted using hand pressed traditional TAMAJIME technique. The end product is of supreme quality with a ultra light texture that is similar consistency to oleic acid to allow for deep penetration into skin and hair.

This is especially useful for very dry skin and can be used on the hair and body. The oil is also good for refining your pores and naturally nourishing your nails. You can target dry patches with this oil and achieve a soothing and moisturising effect. Simply apply wherever needed.

DIRECTIONS OF USE
If your skin is extremely dry, please try to exfoliate your skin with KOMENUKA RICE BRAN POWDER + a small amount of water and Pure camellia oil.

[CAMELLIA OIL CARE]
Camellia oil has excellent skin (face, hand, body) and hair conditioning properties. It moreover presents skin restructuring and moisturizing virtues and is also used for its nail strengthening property.

*BEFORE SHAMPOO
(treatment for very dry and damaged hair):
Massage camellia oil into scalp and ends of damaged hair, rinse camellia oil, and shampoo.

* AFTER SHAMPOO (essentially for hair):
Apply oil to ends of hair and dry patches of scalp to deep condition.

* BODY MOISTURIZING:
Enjoy your own aroma with Camellia Oil. Mix with 1~2 table spoon of Camellia Oil and a drop of aroma therapy oil such as lavender, sweet orange or jasmin.
Apply to your skin and massage well.
Particularly recommended for dry or sun exposed skin.

* NAIL CARE
Allow to absorb, do not rinse.

A MAGNIFICENT OIL

This oil works wonders for pretty much every part of my body. I use it on my face, on my body, on my hair, and even on my feet. Absorbs quickly into my skin. I use a little bit on my hair to flatten it and give it a booster shine. I've been using it for a month but I'm not even through 1/4 of the bottle yet. This oil is not greasy at all. For those who have sensitive skin and find oils to be too heavy, I recommend using this Camellia oil. Its a multipurpose oil for all.

SIMPLE AND GREAT MULTI TASKING OIL

I felt in love with this little bottle. It's a multi tasking oil that is so simple and humble in comparison to all the complex oils out there - only 1 ingredient - but I find it to be a high achiever. I've tried a few different Camellia oils in the past and this one is of the highest quality I've seen.
I'm using it mainly as a day facial oil but it's absolutely beautiful on my hair as well.
It has a very subtle nutty smell.
Like all the other Chidoriya products I've tried - very pure and effective.

SO VERSATILE

I use this for just about everything on my body. I use it for hair, face, body. I use it as a base oil with my essential oils. The camellia oils works well with 1 - 2 drops of the hinoki oil. Super pure and highly effective. As the previous reviewer stated, this is very high quality and I would agree. You can only get this high grade oil from Japan.

DOES WONDERS FOR SKIN AND HAIR

Forget any hair treatment products ever used. Being an old traditional oil, this oil is light years ahead in terms of what it can do. 2 - 4 drops with the straightener and my hair has never been so smooth and shiny. My goodness, it's transformed my hair and does wonders for dry skin. Depending on how dry or humid the weather, I'll alternate between 2 - 6 drops. (Please note, I tried to save a bit of money and got a cheap one from another store for half the price). I did notice a difference in quality and a big difference in the results. So if you want quality, don't compromise.
