First Day Of School Signs Australia

Our first day of school boards are a great way to record your child’s school life, from kindy all the way up until graduation.

Beginning kindergarten, preschool, school or starting at a new school and a new year? Capturing an image to document the first day of school is a necessity and one that you and your children will love to look back on.

We recommend that you use regular chalk (not included) on our first day of school boards. Clean with a duster/dry cloth, or gently wipe with a damp cloth. Allow to dry fully before storing.  

Marking and enjoying your kid's first days are so important, with our first day of school signs and chalkboards, we make it easy to celebrate all of their First Day breakthroughs as they age.

We also have double-sided first day & last day boards available.

Description

Our first day of school boards are a great way to kick off the school year with candid photos of your little one.

They can be reused year after year with our chalkboard squares. We recommend chalk only to write on them. Please note Chalk not included in listing.

Size – A4 – 297mm x 210mm

Our First Day Boards come in your choice of Whiteboard (white) or Chalkboard (black) style.

Whiteboard (with white writing area) – you are able to write with any standard whiteboard marker.

Chalkboard (with black writing area) – you are able to write with CHALK only.  DO NOT USE CHALK MARKERS

Specifications:

Each item is made from 3mm thick natural plywood.  To be used for indoor use only and is not a toy.  To be used as display purposes only.

Each piece is unique as wood is a natural product and no two pieces are ever the same so your name plaque will likely look slightly different to the one photographed here.

By placing your order, you understand that colors and wood grain vary from monitor/screen to in-person. You acknowledge that handmade products may differ ever so slightly from the photos on the website.

For personalised orders our current making time is around 3-10 business days.

For non-custom items (non-personalised, natural timber wall scripts, birth announcements etc) we will ship within 2 business days.

Please note during a sale period, or holiday like Christmas, Mother’s Day & Father’s day it might take a couple more days to process your order.

Domestic (within Australia) – Domestic orders are sent via Australia Post.

Standard shipping usually takes 3-7 business days after your order is shipped (remember to add the time it takes to make your order).

Express Postage – If you are in a hurry for your item we suggest the Express Postage option. Express post is overnight to 90% of Australia. We will be sure to hurry production time on our end to ensure your order gets out as quickly as possible.

Internationally – We ship worldwide, yay!. International orders are tracked but tracking details are only made available to us once your order reaches the country of destination. International shipping usually takes around 3 weeks but may be up to 6 weeks or longer depending on your location.

Most items in our range can be made and on their way to you within 10 business days. If you are not sure about timeframes or need your order for a special occasion, feel free to email or call for a quick chat so we can discuss rushing your order.

How should I hang my wall script or decor?

We recommend using either a large amount of blu tac or double-sided 3M tape to attach your Timber Tinkers products to walls. For heavier pieces (eg height charts and signs), double sided tape works best. More detailed product information and hanging instructions are available on our product page.

What type of pen should I use on the wood?

We recommend a very thin permanent marker or any time of ball point pen. If you are unsure we always suggest testing on the back of the product first.
