When Eric Forrester and Brooke Logan were married, Sheila Carter was Baby Rick's nanny and quickly stepped into Eric's life when the marriage failed.

To guarantee that nothing would be in the way of her marrying Eric, she attempted to switch a paternity test to ensure that people believed that Ridge Forrester was Baby Bridget's father, not Eric.

Knowing that Sheila was bad news, Eric's family—including Stephanie Forrester—protested the marriage by arriving at the wedding dressed in black.

Paging Dr. James Warwick

Dr. James Warwick was Sheila's therapist, with whom she had a love-hate relationship.

During a brief affair, Sheila became pregnant with James' baby, but eventually signed over custody of the child to James and his new wife, Maggie Forrester.

Unable to stay away from her daughter, Sheila returned to L.A. to be reunited with Baby Mary.

Apparently, Dr. Warwick had a forgiving heart—or a short memory—because he ended his marriage to Maggie to marry Sheila and become a family with their child. Little did Sheila know that it was a ploy for James to prove that she was an unfit parent.

Sheila vs. Amber

Sheila and Amber Moore started out as friends in Furnace Creek until Amber became entrenched with the Forrester family.

Then, after Baby Mary grew up, she had her name changed to Erica Lovejoy. She returned to L.A. and soon became obsessed with Rick Forrester, who was then married to Amber.

When Sheila learned of Erica's infatuation, she assisted her daughter in obtaining the man of her dreams by attempting to get Amber out of the picture to make a clear path for Erica.

Some of her assorted crimes include altering paternity tests; drugging Eric; strangling Stephanie; kidnapping James and holding him hostage in her basement; attempting to poison Stephanie and framing Maggie for it; trying to choke Maggie; trying to drown Stephanie in a swimming pool; shooting Stephanie, Brooke, and Taylor; killing her neighbor with a swarm of bees; threatening Ziggy Deadmarsh with a knife; kidnapping Amber and Ridge; holding Eric and Taylor at gunpoint; and holding Nick Marone and Brooke captive in South America.
