How to watch Shark Week

Viewers in the US can watch all episodes from Shark Week 2022 on Discovery and Discovery Plus.

The channel comes as part of streaming services such as YouTube TV, Hulu with Live TV, fubo TV, while Discovery Plus is also available on Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and others.

Those based in Canada and UK can also access Discovery Plus, however, the platform is not available in Australia at this time.

The Discovery Channel’s summer sensation Shark Week kicks off its 34th year on July 24. The week-long event premiered in 1988 to help viewers understand more about sea creatures and to aid conservation efforts. Now, TV’s longest-running programming event has become a beloved phenomenon with shows like “Guy Fieri’s Feeding Frenzy,” “Shark Tank Meets Shark Week,” and “Sharkwrecked.” Discovery promises a captivating lineup this year, with “25 hours of new shows featuring never-before-seen footage of walking sharks, groundbreaking findings, and more mega breaches.”

For the first time in the event’s history, Shark Week has brought on a Master of Ceremonies: Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The actor and former professional wrestler shared on social media that he filmed material in his home state of Hawaii and will share the importance of the often-misunderstood marine predators to his Polynesian culture. Other guests expected to make appearances throughout the week include Tracy Morgan, Sal Vulcano, James Murray, Brian Quinn, and the cast of “Jackass.”

Aside from the flagship Discovery Channel, the Shark Week TV schedule will be aired and cross-promoted on TBS, TNT, Food Network, HGTV, CNN, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Animal Planet, Science Channel, ID, OWN, TCM, truTV, and HBO Max. Here are all the details you need to watch Shark Week without cable.
