Searching for the Ceremonial Trident in Breath of the Wild ? If this is in order to complete the Ceremonial Song sidequest, please note that the Lightscale Trident will also work in order to complete it. But if you still want to find the Ceremonial Trident in Breath of the Wild, read on.

The Ceremonial Trident can be found in Zora’s Domain either before or after you do the Vah Ruta Divine Beast dungeon quest. (If you wait to clear the Vah Ruta Divine Beast dungeon first and talk to the king in his throne room after clearing the dungeon, you’ll have the Lightscale Trident in hand and avoid all this.)

While in Zora’s Domain, head out of the left exit and jump down to the ring below. Using Magnesis, you can see the trident’s shape in the water. Use Cryonis to build a few pillars out in the water and get closer to the trident’s shape. Then climb on top of your pillar and use Magnesis to pull the Ceremonial Trident up.

The Ceremonial Trident weapon is not very strong, but it can be repaired, so once you get it, you can bring it to the tinkerer next to the item’s shop in Zora’s Domain and he will repair it for a Zora Spear and some flint. It’s stronger than the Zora spear, but not quite as good as the Lightscale Trident (which also takes much more resources to repair). Plus, it’s free!

If you’re trying to complete the Ceremonial Song sidequest, note the following: After you find the Ceremonial Trident, the map indicator will direct you to a pedestal submerged at the base of the Veiled Falls. You can swim up the waterfall in your Zora armor, or you can just create a Cryonis pillar and climb on top of that to avoid killing yourself as your next act.

You need to perform a paraglide into an attack, not a fall into an attack, in order to unlock the shrine. Hit the Y button about ten feet above the pedestal to perform a ground pound attack onto the pedestal, activating it, with your trident of choice equipped.

This unlocks the Dagah Keek Shrine, located to the southwest of Zora’s Domain.
