How to get broken hero sword terraria

Hi, how can i get broken hero swords easily? i cant seem to beat plantera so im trying to get the terra blade to make it a bit easier. anything will help.

There aren't really an easy way to get broken hero swords. The only thing you can do is wait for the next Solar Eclipse and then kill as many Frankensteins and Swamp Things as possible (1/250 chance for it to drop).

I usually build an arena that have a wide pit filled with a thin layer of lava (just enough to burn enemies but not loot). Above the pit I build a solid platform where I sit during the Eclipse, out of reach from most enemies.

A good trick is to turn off autosave (if you have that on) and then save the game at the beginning of the Eclipse. Then you can reload the save if you didn't get any broken hero swords. I usually get 1-2 for each Eclipse.

I’ve got like 10 of them on Xbox one. Let me know if I can help you out. You need 2. One for the true knights edge and one for the true Excalibur so you can make terrablade.

Post-Mech

Desktop version, it can only be obtained after Plantera is defeated due to the Mothron only being able to spawn post-Plantera.

I'm trying to make the Terra Blade but I can't get True Nights Edge or True Excalibur because Mothron is only dropping his wings and NOT the broken hero sword. Can anyone either help me or tell me what the percentage is for the drop?

the drop rate for the broken hero sword is 25% after killing all 3 mechanical bosses.

weird since I kill 12 and get 3 pairs of wings and an "eye of cthulu "(yo-yo weapon)

well if you've killed the mech bosses then it should show up. you're just having bad luck. if you're desperate i have some spare ones i can give you.

well if you have an extra pair of those wings still ill take those for them. if not you can just pay what they're worth in shops (2 gold per). my steam is the same as my username here.

Yeah I am pissed at mothdude as well. Can only cheese kill him so many times and not a one hero sword ffs.

I did two Solar Eclipse events in a row and came out with five Broken Hero Swords, four yo-yos and no wings.

I got like 4 BHS before I got the wings even once. Blame RNG.
