How to get bamboo in the Survivalists

apparently you get them from seeds dropped by little birds and boars :) discord community is informative

You only get cane seeds from boars which grow to make cane. You can only get wheat seeds from the tiny birds. If you have a new save since the most recent farming update, then you can also find these in the wild.

Ok, I got the seeds, but how do I plant them?

Build a farming plot, then use seed on plot.

Can’t use a cacao seed on plot, wheat works fine. What’s the problem?

BEASTman, I have a hard time remembering, but that might have to go in the Orchard growbox thingy.

I tried to, but it says I need bamboo, but then how do I get bamboo from the bamboo plant I am trying to plant?

Cacao is treated like a tree, which requires a different kind of plot.

so to get cane seeds, is it the greyish warthogs in the badlands, or is it just regular pigs?

Go fishing in a jungle biome. You only need the one piece of bamboo to be able to plant it everywhere!
