How much does it cost to eat at Fogo de Chao Chicago?

"If you have been preparing yourself to eat all day, then this place is not for you. I have been going to Fogo De Chao for years and finally decided to give Texas De Brazil a shot, and boy was I disappointed. We basically paid over $500 to eat mashed potatoes, salad and about 4 cuts of meat. The service was extremely slow and we were not offered more than 5 meats from what I could remember during our 2hr stay. At one point I did not see any meat on the floor for about 8-12 minutes. The manager and waiter seemed to be rushing us to get our tab. Overall bad experience. Would I go back? NO. I will stick with Fogo De Chao for my meat fix."

Fogo de Chao is a Brazilian eating place that was founded in 1979. The first Fogo de Chao restaurant was established in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Many years later, the restaurant then began establishing restaurants in the United States.

As of recent, there are more than 50 Fogo de Chao restaurants across the United States, with further plans to expand. Their hours of operation are from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. in most states. The Brazilian steakhouse always seeks to represent their heritage by serving guests the best Brazilian cuisine.

The Brazilian Steakhouse is an all-you-ca- eat style restaurant, which serves a variety of barbecued meats and more. In addition, customers who celebrate their birthdays with Fogo de Chao will be presented with a free dessert of their choice. A list of their desserts includes their popular Papaya Cream, South American Flan, Crème Brûlée, Turtle Cheesecake, and more.

Do you tip at Fogo de Chao?

Tip: Tipping is a common practice in Brazil, but the average tip tends to be around 10 percent (versus 15 – 20 percent in the United States). Of course, if you truly enjoyed your dining experience or find yourself at a higher-end restaurant, there's no harm in tipping well above the going rate.

What are the best cuts at Fogo de Chao?

The signature steak is the picanha (the prime part of the top sirloin) that is flavored with sea salt or garlic. This was one of our favorites along with the moist Costela (Beef Ribs) braised for 4 hours, Fraldinha (Bottom sirloin), the rib-eye, sausage, bacon-wrapped sirloin, filet mignon, and lamb chops.

What does full churrasco experience mean?

The full Churrasco experience is our prix-fixe menu which includes continual service of our fire-roasted meats carved tableside by Brazilian trained gaucho chefs, including house specialties like Picanha(signature sirloin), Filet Mignon, Ribeye, Fraldinha (Brazilian sirloin) Cordeiro (lamb) and more.
