Create an account r/IndianMotorcycle I'm in Australia and ordered a bike in early December. Original delivery date was Feb/March, then April/May, now today I've been told June. Apparently they haven't even started the build. The sales rep said if anyone here orders a bike now they won't get it until 2023. I've heard mentioned in the sub that people in the US are being told a 4 month delay. Any one had any feedback on recent orders? Joined Sep 16, 2019 · 506 Posts

6 mo ago I've been looking at getting a Springfield and after seeing what used ones are going for. I've found that for a few dollars more I can get the bike I want. My dilemma is I have to have this bike in under 8 weeks. Has anyone ordered one lately? 2021 Roadmaster DH in White Smoke Joined

Lead times seem to differ greatly. 4 weeks to 6 months. Adding the Dark Horse option seems to add big delivery delays on any model. I ordered a Road Master Dark Horse 7 1/2 weeks ago and it still has not been scheduled to be built. I will expect that even if it gets scheduled to be built tomorrow, it would be about 4 weeks for build, shipment, dealer
prep and finally delivery. I hope your 8 week deadline can be a little flexible. I had a deadline too and threw that right out the window. Joined Sep 16, 2019 · 506 Posts

Lead times right now ? Get what is on the floor at the stealership. I wouldn't trust any promises about lead times right now. Cu, 22 Pursuit

My dealership told me yesterday they're looking at 2 - 3 weeks for chrome bikes and 4 - 6 months for DH. Joined Oct 16, 2020 · 1,004 Posts
Well, polaris is giving me a new replacement DH challenger, and "prioritizing" it. Yet, they're telling me it will be July before they can fulfill.... not sure about other models. Joined Sep 19, 2019 · 2,330 Posts

the salesroom floor is definitely the safest and best bet if your need is that urgent?. My local Indian dealership a mere month ago didn't even know what their allocation of new Indians was going to be for the second quarter of this year which starts tomorrow. Once you've heard what they have to say to secure your deposit things can change very quickly regarding lead times which they will NEVER 100% guarantee.

I would recommend, browsing the dealer inventory. If you want something custom or darkhorse style, anywhere from 4weeks to 6+ months. Joined Jan 17, 2014 · 1,136 Posts
I called my dealer, Gregory Polaris in N. Little Rock, Ar. to see if they had a Springfield you are looking for, AB2057. I live 480 miles south of them so I don't get in to see what they have as often as I would like. Rob Gregory, the owner, told me that they do not have one on the floor but that they have a black two tone coming with a ship date of
5-13 to 5-28. They also have a maroon two tone coming with a ship date of 6-12 to 6-27. They had a chromed Springfield but it was sold a few weeks ago. Joined Apr 12, 2017 · 168 Posts
With all the Covid and this and that issues, if it’s not on the show room don’t be upset about wait times. To many issues with parts and all the above. If your in a hurry, get show room.

Discussion Starter · #13 · 6 mo ago Thanks everyone for your replies. My conclusion for this topic will be to purchase a new 22 Springfield. I really wanted to buy something from the dealer that just opened that's only 20 miles away but I just can't bring myself to pay their price. They have a 2021 that is the color I want that has 26 miles on it that has been titled once. Their price is $23995
+ 600 shipping. I asked why it cost most then a new 22 that has a sticker of $21999 + whatever the dealer tacks on. Their answer is that they paid too much at a auction. . That doesn't work for me. There is a dealer about 50 miles away that has the one I want so across the Bay Bridge I will be going later today if it's still there. It looks like buying a new one is my only option as the used market is too hot right now. I can't bring myself to pay 17K for a 5 year old bike if I can get a new one
for about 22-23K. Joined Aug 3, 2018 · 3,738 Posts
I think you all will need to add weeks if not months to your waiting time... the biggest port in China is closed with the people in Shanghai being on lock down (50 million of them)... economic warfare at it's best

I agree with you on Gregory Polaris. I live 159 miles from there and wouldn't go anywhere else. Mr. Gregory said since indian won King of the Bagger races this year, orders for Challengers and Pursuits are out the roof.

I wonder how much Indian will add to there bikes to counter act the sky rocketing inflation? If you buy a bike today for 23 grand , who is to say that bike may cost 25 grand to Indian once it is built 8 months from now? Even if they pre buy the parts , Indian must feel the pinch in the supply chain to get things built within there budget. Nobody really is
benefitting now.

they already have a $900 surcharge on the big bikes on top of MSRP... I'm sure it will go up... at least one should be able to understand that it's pure inflation doing that and not Indian per se
