I typically use the Cardioid mode, which is the mode you should be using. When you put it on Cardioid, you will sound better as it eliminates a lot of other noises that comes from the back/ sides of the microphone. To curb this, turn the gain to as low as possible. You can find the technical definition of what a “gain” is, but the simple way to explain what a “gain” is how loud you’ll sound on your microphone/ how much sound your microphone is gonna absorb. If your gain is too high, you’ll hear loud & distorted audio. If you turn it to zero gain, you won’t hear anything. If you want your blue Yeti's sound to be better, the cardioid pattern is best as it allows for the microphone to focus in one direction. The microphone will no longer pick up sounds from any direction. This will result in you sounding much better, without any sound disturbances.
