"Black Widow," the Marvel film starring longtime Avenger Scarlett Johansson, is now available on Disney Plus at no extra cost to subscribers. The film debuted in theaters on July 9 and previously required a $30 Premier Access fee to watch on Disney Plus.

Other streaming providers like Vudu, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Google Play added "Black Widow" on August 10; it's currently selling for $20. 

"Black Widow" takes place before "Avengers: Endgame" and follows Johansson's titular character as she deals with her past as an assassin for hire. Florence Pugh plays a younger assassin who received the same training as Black Widow, while "Stranger Things" star David Harbour plays a Russian hero named Red Guardian.

Marvel delayed the premiere of "Black Widow" for more than a year before opting to release it in theaters and on Disney Plus at the same time. Johansson sued Disney for breaching her contract with the release strategy but ultimately settled the case without disclosing the terms.

Marvel's latest movie, "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings," hit theaters on September 3 and will arrive on Disney Plus on November 12 with no Premier Access fee.

"Black Widow" is now available to stream on Disney Plus. Though the movie originally debuted as a Premier Access title that required an additional $30 fee, all subscribers can now watch "Black Widow" without paying extra.

How to watch 'Black Widow' without Disney Plus

Though "Black Widow" was initially exclusive to Disney Plus, the movie is now available to buy through a number of popular VOD retailers.

As of October 6, you can pay $20 to buy "Black Widow" on platforms like Vudu, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Microsoft, and Google Play. Once purchased, you can stream the film whenever you like for as long as you like. 

Buyers who prefer to own a disc copy of the movie, also have the option to purchase "Black Widow" on Blu-ray ($25) or 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray ($30).

What else can I watch on Disney Plus?

Along with being home to nearly every movie and show in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Disney Plus has a huge streaming library of additional titles from Disney's collection. You'll find Disney's classic animated films, new Pixar releases, Disney original shows, documentaries from National Geographic, and entire franchises like "Star Wars" and "The Simpsons."

Original series like "Loki" and "The Mandalorian" have been the most watched shows on TV during their runs on Disney Plus. Marvel's "Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" will stream on Disney Plus starting November 12.
