I've had no reading for the past few days.

I turned it on and see measuring... keep still...  I sat perfectly still for several minutes with my arm on my desk - perfectly still.

I restarted the watch.

Still, no readings.

I am getting heart rate readings.

Suggestions?

I had the same problem where turning PulseOx all day long, and then put it back to night only fixed my problem.
    Hope it helps.

If your PulseOX issue has continued, there are two troubleshooting steps you can take:

    - Hard Reset: Hold down your top left button until your watch shuts off then let go.

Test your PulseOX and toggle the feature on and off again through the PulseOX widget.

    - Reset to Factory Defaults: Done through your System > Reset menu.

If you continue to have issues with your PulseOX feature, please reach out to your regional Outdoor Product Support.

Oddly it did not record for two days.  I had tried turning the watch on and off and shutting off the app and turning it on.  Didn't seem to help.

    Equally odd, it's working now.

    Thanks

The red light is not the pulse sensor, it is the sensor for measuring the oxygen level in the blood.

    Sorry for my contribution.
I misunderstood it through a translation error.

Just put your index finger on the sensor and then start the SpO2 widget just like a standard SpO2 measurement unit is supposed to work.

Look closely at the Pulse OX symbol above the "Measuring"/"Keep still..."-text. You'll see the circular border filling up while measuring. It pauses if you move, so keep holding stil for approximately 1 minute before end result.

just like a standard SpO2 measurement unit

The difference to a finger pulse oximeter is that the Fenix only picks up the reflected light, while the finger sensor works in transmitted light mode. There you have a transmitting diode and a receiving diode, which are opposite each other. Therefore a finger sensor is faster and above all more accurate.

All I tell is what actually works compared side by side to a spo2 oximeter

The Pulse OX on fenix 6 pro is garbage. Usually have to try 4 - 5 times before I can get a reading. My friends apple watch locks it every single time.  And fast. For a watch that costs double of what Apple charges, im noticing Apple consistently out performing it.

Your right it is garbage, my wife has the apple watch 6 and when I take a reading its 100% correct....$849.00 for my Garmin fenix 6 pro stainless steel ....and my reading are 83 or 87 or 89 and on the apple watch it's 96 or 97.  When apple puts something our there you know it's going to work accurately...Garmin just throws it out there....by the way Garmin Pay does not work for me.....

Yep. Sure does. Works just as accurately as any other manufacturers'...for some.

I can't say this is a definite fix, but I just experienced an issue getting new PulseOx data and after a few unsuccessful attempts, I took off the watch and cleaned the sensor and tried again.  It worked after that.

Sorry to say, but's the same for me. I change my fenix 3 to fenix 6x pro for the reason of the Oximeter (previously i had some pulmonia and this year i had Covid19 so i need to know my Ox %) and when the oximeter succesfully measure (about 10% of the time) the result is unreliable, ex my fenix read 86% but my finger oximeter say 97% :-((((((((
