Fresh step scented non-clumping clay cat litter with febreze

I purchased this because it was available for same-day delivery via Amazon Fresh, & I was in a rush to change my cat's box before leaving home for 3 days (poor planning on my part, I know). I got back, and here is what I think (in ranked order from good aspects to bad aspects):1. The non-clumping part of the description is accurate, so if that's literally all that you are looking for, this could work for you! You just have to change it really frequently, and, as a result, you will run through the litter faster.2. The synthetic fragrance is strong but does not mask kitty odors.3. (pictures of this) It is REALLY DUSTY. As in, it's like...an order of magnitude dustier than litters that don't even claim to be 'low dust,' which this one does. After getting home from my 3-day trip, I turned on the shower (which the litter box has been temporarily adjacent to, only since I was out of town) & there was a charcoal-like coating EVERYWHERE, which is what the pictures attached are of...it's pretty gross.

I like my home to smell fresh and clean at all times and this is the only litter that does it for me. I have 2 kittens; I was worried they wouldn't like the fragrance but they didn't mind at all.

I hate it when stores decide I would be satisfied if they substituted the clumping stuff-- which my cat HATES. I have been a loyal customer of THIS brand and version of Fresh Step forever and ever!!!!

Easy to clean and controls odor. Our cat is picky and this is the litter that she prefers too.

For some odd reason this bag has a completely different texture/consistency from the boxed version which makes THIS one harder too scoop IMO

The cat likes it. It's easy to scoop, has a pleasant light scent and because it's a clay litter the cat doesn't scatter and track sand all over the house like she does with the clumping products.

We have five litter boxes and recently made the switch back to non-clumping litter. It is easier to maintain (easier to scoop) and stays fresher because we toss it once a week and wash the pans. I have tried this brand and Tidy Cat so far. This one wins as far as odor control, consistency (light weight flakes), overall quality. Tidy Cat is a bit heavier, which is a positive as it lessens the amount that ends up on the floor. Ultimately, both are satisfactory but I am willing to pay more for this one and still saving quite a bit versus clumping litter.
