Drug test sent to lab for further testing Reddit

Just took a drug screen for pre-employment, here in backwards-ass Kansas. I passed at home tests multiple times the night before, before the test and even two tests after I failed because I still can't believe I did not pass the screen..

Daily smoker for over 2 years but slowed down over the last month and completely clean for 10 days. Did the certo trick night before and 2 hours before test. Gave them a big clear sample, was scared it would be diluted but didn't say anything.

Despite all this I still did not pass and they sent it off to a lab to confirm. So basically I know I am most likely fucked but want to know if there is any chance it will come back negative or invalid. Thanks.

P.S. Fuck drug screening for thc, ruining lives over a plant.

Hi reddit; long-time listener, first-time caller... Before I get started, I want to state that this is not a throwaway account. I am glad to talk about the work, but I must politely ask that readers refrain from any sleuthing. I avoided signing any legal nonsense, but I want to steer clear of any murky or precarious legal ground. It took me a while to get up the gumption to post this, so please be respectful. I worked in one of those places you go when you have to pee in a cup. It was essentially a forensic toxicology lab set up specifically for controlled substances (the main difference between this and a regular toxicology lab being that we weren't testing your fluids on your behalf), with all the usual vials, potions, powders, lab coats, and complicated equipment you would expect to find. I was more or less a temp with the necessary experience and qualifications that happened to be looking for work when they needed help. I am a chemistry novice, and I would never have worked in a place like this otherwise. Unlike most of the rest of the people working there, I wasn't given a single specific task, so I bounced around a lot and got to see or experience most aspects of how it all worked.

I just took a pre employment urinalysis drug test yesterday. I called today to see when my start date was, like the HR lady told me to, and she said “your drug test had been sent for further testing. When we get the results back we will contact you with a start date.” What does this mean? How long will this take?

Do you use any drugs that would show up on this? If so, did you do anything to try to flush them out of your system/dilute your urine sample?

There's two answers to something like this. Either it is just a standard thing they do, or they found drug samples in your urine.

No. I don’t use drugs. I’ve only smoked marijuana in my life and haven’t done that since 2008.

Probably just going to mean a couple more business days. It's not likely to hinder you from getting the job, just take a little more time.

I just did a 5 panel drug test through cann amm yesterday, Friday June 17. I contacted my job to ensure they received my results before heading to work and they informed me that my sample has been sent to the lab for further testing. Does this mean I failed? Side note; I've used high voltage double flush detox for the past 5 years and it's worked everytime. Yesterday however my piss came out pretty clear, so also curious if it's standard to send clearer samples for further testing.

I work in a private toxicology lab and perform Urinary analysis for drugs of abuse. Those drugs being THC, Cocaine, Benzodiazepines, opiates, PCP, Methadone, Methamphetamine, Amphetamine, K2, and Oxycontin among many others.

I receive patients from all over the United States. I process around 2000 samples each day and run an average of 7 different tests on each sample depending on the drugs I am looking for. I also have to test these samples for suspected interferences that may result in falsified results such as bleach, soap, and juice as well as many other things that are not consistent with normal human urine.
