I read it and honestly I forgot a lot of little details that happened when it’s animated so I don’t think it’ll ruin anything. I forgot Douma found the siblings, I forgot that zenitsu was freakin asleep.. etc.

I dont think it will ruin your enjoyment. i read the manga and still the entertainment district arc left me blown away. If you wanna see what happens next then imo go ahead and read. The fights will still be sure to blow you away when theyr animated. Yes you'll generally know whats coming when watching the anime, and at that point its pretty much personal preference on whether or not knowing what happens ruins your enjoyment of things. I have gotten spoiled for many things, i knew the ending of the sixth sense when i saw it first and still loved it. I was spoiled on most of the demon slayer manga but still loved reading it. Its just preference

Read it. You'll not enjoy the animation any lesser than any anime only. The only downside is if you cry, you'll cry twice. Once when you're reading and once again when you see it animated.

As people said, I've read the manga between season 1 and the movie, so I watched season two knowing everything, but by God this season gave me goosebumps all the time, ufotable really upgraded the source material, so its really up to you, friend either way, good entertainment

I've enjoyed animated series way more if I don't know what happens. Although tbf, the ones I've read made me mad (AOT ending bruh).

But I think that a huge part of the enjoyment of the anime is the tension. I watched the first 5 parts of JoJo without reading the manga and I had a better experience than with Stone Ocean for example.

Any idea if the producers will take a break for season 3 after the entertainment district arc ends?? I really won't be able to handle that and I'll prolly end up succumbing to the manga lol

at most we'll have to wait until 2023 for S3. there's a possibility of another fall season release date since the season didn't actually begin until December. but unlike the movie, S2 was a week by week production (the movie was being worked on immediately following the end of the anime and was finished by early 2020).

there's always a chance though. I still believe we'll get a S3 confirmation at the very least as an end credit.

They better. They kinda cheated through season 2… manga is finished, there is enough material for a 25 episode cour, but 7 episodes was spared for the movie with adding a little, on top of it they cut the season short with 19 episodes.

So i am anticipating an announcement for late 2022.

The manga is fantastic with some amazingly drawn manga panels. Take it from a manga reader, you don’t lose much hype when you watch the anime with the knowledge of knowing what already happens.

yo this is completely true, if anything i dread the sad parts because i know it's going to wreck me so much harder.. my friends and i already can't imagine how we'll make it through.. it's a constant uncertainty how ufotable will animate or direct a certain scene that i always end up forgetting what happens next anyways hahah

Which is because the adaption is so insanely good! I really don't feel any hype from the final AOT season bc it's just so plain. Ufotable takes the good manga source material and makes it somehow insanely better. Reading the manga and then seeing the adaptation is double the hype !!

Hard hard disagree. I actually regret reading the manga after seeing entertainment district arc animated. Every single arc has been substantially improved upon. The anime feels far more refined, the pacing is tighter, and the events feel far more impactful. The manga is not bad, in fact it’s quite good, but I would absolutely not read it if I could go back.

You should read the manga, it gets harder for every day to avoid demon slayer spoilers so it’s better to experience the story while you still know nothing.

Yeah I did it last week for the same reason after some dumbass spoiled me about Tengen losing an arm and the eye. I read all the volumes in 3 nights. I think the anime is better (a rare occasion) but without the manga this would never happening. Can't wait for all the future animations!

Chances are they will. Animation of this quality takes time. Honestly, read the manga, it's worth it.

To everyone here, Manga only makes the episodes more meaningful. Even though you know everything, seeing it animated is one of the best feelings in the world, easily.

Agreed. And if you have bad memory like I do, you forget a lot of the minor stuff so it’s like experiencing everything twice and you can’t get spoiled.
