Why is my Credit Union of America account locked out?

Multiple attempts at logging in with a wrong password, will lock your access to your Online/Mobile Banking accounts. If this occurs, you may click the 'forgot password' link to reset your password and unlock your account.

Is Credit Union of America FDIC insured?

No, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) only insures deposits in banks. Credit unions have their own insurance fund, run by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA).

Where is the member number on a debit card?

The entire 16-digit numeric sequence on the front of the card is the card number. Your account number is part of that number. As described above, this is the seventh digit to the second-to-last digit for both debit and credit cards.

How do I close a CUA account?

Call our Customer Contact Centre at 902-492-6500, visit a CUA branch near you, or request your form through MemberDirect® Online Banking. Log in and complete this form (Note: In the message field, please indicate that you require a pre-authorized payment form).
