Honami and her friends were in the pool playing with the water when they spotted a volleyball game being played among the third-year students. One student in particular stood out due to his expertise in the game. He was none other than Miyabi Nagumo, Vice-President of the Student Council.

Those watching the game commented that he had to be excellent because he was the Vice President, but Suzune believes that the Student Council President is more popular than him. Honami remarks that Suzune has the same surname as the Student Council President, Manabu Horikita. Suzune acknowledges that it is indeed the same, but does not elaborate any further. Honami comments that the President and Vice President have similar abilities because they both ran for Student Council President last year. Suzune remarks that Honami appeared to know a lot about the student council, to which Honami explains that it was because she was a member of the student council.

While Suzune was noticeably surprised, Kiyotaka asked Honami about the prerequisites for joining the student council. Honami admits that she was refused the first time she applied, but since they could apply as many times as they wanted, she decided to persevere until she was accepted. She went on to say that while two or three freshmen were accepted every year, she was the only one this year. She tells them that she wishes to be like Nagumo because all the previous student council presidents were from Class A, but Nagumo, like her, was originally from Class B. Regardless, he was to be the next Student Council president. She goes on to say that she aspires to be student council president following Nagumo.

Honami then leaves them to play in the pool again. Kiyotaka inquires Suzune whether she has considered joining the Student Council. She responds that she did not, and that even if she did, she would be rejected. Kushida draws everyone's attention and invites them to join them in the pool to play volleyball. Sakura makes an excuse not to play, saying she'll stay and observe. Suzune just states that she does not feel like it. Kushida tries to persuade her by claiming that this is an opportunity to analyze the other classes, and that the winning class would also receive a free lunch. Suzune accepts this condition and enters the pool to play. They then played volleyball for a while.
