Both Peggy and Kylie Minogue have also come together for a music video, which acts as a nod to the 2001 original. The video combines 00s nostalgia with Korean pop illustrations by Seoul-based artist, Seo Inji.

Speaking about the collaboration, Kylie said: “I can’t quite believe it’s been twenty years since I released this song! I’m a big fan of Peggy and I’m so excited for everyone to hear this remix!”

Speaking to Vogue Scandanavia, Kylie added: "It’s not easy to remix that song...so I was so excited to hear it, and I loved it. There was nothing to say. It was gorgeous.”

Peggy said that she did not want to remove the enamoured bassline of the original, so she opted to chop and change parts from the original to give it an original spin set for global dancefloors.

"Kylie, she’s my icon. I think she’s a lot of peoples’ icon," Peggy says.

Peggy Gou has shared a remix of Kylie Minogue’s 2001 classic “Can’t Get You Out of My Head.” The two also joined forces for a spin on the original music video, featuring Korean pop culture illustrations by Seo Inji, as part of a partnership with Magnum ice cream. Check it out below.

Gou’s most recent full-length release, her contribution to !K7’s beloved DJ-Kicks series, came out in 2019. Last year, she released the singles “Nabi” (featuring Oh Hyuk, the lead singer and guitarist of the South Korean rock band Hyukoh) and “I Go.”

Minogue released her 15th album, Disco, in 2020. She’s since collaborated with Dua Lipa, Jessie Ware, and more.

“I can’t quite believe it’s been twenty years since I released this song,” said Minogue of the new version in a press statement. “I’m a big fan of Peggy, and I’m so excited for everyone to hear this remix.”

Gou’s remix arrives alongside a video directed by Tim Brown and Maxime Bruneel, with animation from Seo Inji that puts a fresh spin on the clip for the original version. Watch that below:

Minogue released her 15th studio album, ‘Disco’, in November 2020. An expanded ‘Guest List Edition’ then arrived the following year, featuring new tracks ‘Can’t Stop Writing Songs About You’ (featuring Gloria Gaynor) and ‘Kiss Of Life’ (featuring Jessie Ware), along with ‘A Second To Midnight’, a collaboration with Years & Years.

Reviewing ‘Disco’, NME called the album “a consistently uplifting set that feels like Minogue’s best album since 2010’s ‘Aphrodite’.

“Her sister Dannii is rumoured to have claimed that ‘Minogues don’t sweat’. In that case, let’s say that ‘Disco’ shimmers with a warm glittery glow that’s just irresistible.”

Gou, meanwhile, recently featured on the soundtrack for The Batman alongside artists such as Nirvana, Alesso and Baauer.
