Posted by4 years ago Show Archived Hey everyone. I play Minecraft on my Xbox One, and I just downloaded it in my phone as well. I was hoping to play on the same world I play on my Xbox, but I don't really know how. I understand the Better Together update says you can start a world on one device and then pick it back up on another but how exactly do I do that? Thanks! This thread is archived New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast level 1 The game doesn't have automatic cross-platform saves, but you can use Realms to access the same world on multiple devices. Create a Realm (there is a free 30 day trial available for new subscribers) and upload your existing world to it (Realm Settings → Game → Replace World). You will be able to access your Realm on your other device and even download a local copy of the world. level 2 Aw man, that sucks! I'll probably do it when I have the stable income. How much is it monthly? level 1 Afaik, there is no such cross-platform support. You could try Realms? level 2 Ehhhhh, yeah, that's what I figured. level 1 If you have a Windows or Linux computer available, you could try self-hosting your own server: Bedrock Dedicated Server. I know that the new Minecraft on Windows is cross platform. I can play on Xbox and have a friend who's on his laptop join and another on his phone join as well. My question is, if I created a world on the Xbox, is it possible that I continue playing that same world on my phone after I turn off the Xbox? I don't see any save file on the Xbox that I can copy or move.

2 According to the Better Together update recently launched, it looks like you can use the same world on different devices as you describe it. Microsoft did a news release on this that indicates what you say you want to do is possible. From what I know, you will probably need an Xbox live account to do this. I read this somewhere on Minecraft's official website. Please tell me if this helped you. If it didn't, I'll do more research and edit this post. answered Dec 8, 2017 at 20:59

Hi, everyone. I created a world on my mac at school, then went home to work on the world at home on a windows laptop and my world was not listed. I signed in with the same account as I did in my class. Shouldn't the worlds be saved no matter what machine you sign into??? Thanks for the help. Comments6 comments
